My ex girlfriend has a boyfriend but why does she still call?

My ex and I where together for 2 years and we had our ups and downs. She would always say that I am the perfect boyfriend etc. I gave her the world and treated her like a queen so up until the day we split we would spend a lot of time together and then one day all of a sudden it ended. Then a few days later she was with another guy but she still would call or txt late a night and especially when the new guy would treat her bad but I would ignore her most of the time. Then about a month later they broke up and like a week later she feel in love with her now boyfriend & when that happened I cut all contact for about 3 weeks but she would still keep in touch with my mom then we started back talking on the phone and she told me her feelings were coming back. Then she found out about my new girl and ruined our relationship so I was left with nobody but my ex now calls me 3-4 times a day and text a few times to see what I am doing. Her boyfriend found out and told her to leave me alone but she still calls. What does my ex want?

She's never without a man for long, but ironically does not demonstrate the emotional tools necessary to maintain a lasting partnership. While committed to keeping a partner at all times, there's no commitment or sacrifice invested in keeping any one man in particular. Who knows where her deep-seeded fears rise from, but you certainly don't have the power to heal this unhealthy emotional cycle. She wants to keep you on the line so that in case anything happens she'll have someone in her life. It sounds like she's just assuming that you'll always be there and trying to keep you interested and available so that she can come back to you whenever she wants. I would recommend you just ignore her, change your number, and tell your mom about the situation so that she'll stop talking to her as well. She's being really selfish...

two she could just be really selfish and not want any other girl to be w you since she can't and that's why she's keeping in touch w your mom since she's probley in the clear w your mom she knows that too.

I think she wants you back...but doesn't know how to tell you or is scared to leave her new boyfriend. Maybe you should talk to her and let her know that what she's doing isn't mature and you're tired of her games. Maybe she'll come out and tell you what's up...or you could always ask her.
