When a guy touches you lightly on your back and arm is he attracted to you?

I have the hugest crush on this guy and have noticed that whenever I talk to him he lightly touches me in the small part of my lower back when I stand next to him while we chat.

Last time we chatted he touched me on the arm. I get nicknames as well, only cause he does not know my real name yet! Been called gorgeous and darling probably just terms of endearment though.

Just wonder how you can tell the difference between a guy who is just being friendly to a guy who is flirting with you?

Yes. That much physical contact after only knowing you for so long is at least like 70% chance that he likes you. If he does this all the time around other women, that's a huge warning, but it looks good :) and lower back (not butt) is an important distinction. If it was lower, id be concerned but you seem good :) go for it

No. It is not the butt but I bet he is tempted. Ha ha. Nah he does not do it in front of others. Just when we are chatting or if I walk past. I so wanna lightly touch him back as well but freeze up at times. Just gotta relax and flirt back. Any flirting tips?

I mean... he's already got the physical contact part down :P I'd say to make it clear to him that you are interested (well duh). maybe take the initiative and ask him out to coffee or something. Just go for it :P As far as freezing up, take a few deep breaths and just do it. Maybe tell a funny story to ease the tension, but just go for it :) Be confident that you can do it and that you'll be successful. If you only see him around work, try to see him outside of work and get to know each other.

I only get to see him once a week so ideally keen for when that comes around. LoL. Obviously! :). I will thanks. Just gotta get to know him and talk to him more as well.

There is a bit of an age gap I might add. I am in my mid 30's and he is mid to late 40's. Usually more attracted to people my own age. This has surprised me! Do definitely know he is single. Heard on the grape vine.

Come to think of it, the girls I touched on the back, arm, waist, etc. by instinct throughout my high school (and now college) are the ones I was attracted to (high fives don't count).
