+1 yYes, yes and yes! If they are good at what they do. I am not talking a line cook at a chain restaurant... I am talking a chef that is thoughtful and creative. Talented and skillful. A chef that uses all of his senses to put together a plate that is visually attractive, aromatic and pleasing to the taste. If the chef puts his heart and soul into the dish and has a passion for what he does... very sexy. I am currently seeing a man with 23 years experience as a chef and he thrills me in ways I have never experienced and we have yet to take things to the bedroom! Still anticipating that!

It would let me know that we both have a passion for food, and give us something big to relate on [though I'm mostly self-taught and don't work in the food industry =P]. I like it when guys can cook, because it's a skill, I like to cook, and it's even more of a turn-on when a guy ENJOYS cooking. Someone who works as a chef obviously enjoys it, because working in a kitchen isn't easy work, lol, and someone who isn't into it won't last long. If we got along well and I found him attractive, I'd be very intrigued.

+1 yI had a man cook for me one weekend. W-O-W...I never new how sexy it was to have a man in the kitchen - wanting to please your pallet. It was fun watching him multi-task and lettiing your senses take in the experience!
NOW - YES, I find male chefs very attractive.00 Reply
I'm only any good on the grill, put me in the kitchen and I burn things. On the grill I'll make great steaks, ribs, burgers, chicken, dogs, lamb, and that sort of stuff, but if you put me in the kitchen I can mess up something as easy as macaroni haha. I feel like this is how men cook lol. I can do scrambled eggs and omelets though, so I can do breakfast in bed for a lady. I've never met a girl who has any problem with my level of cooking skills before so I'm not worried.

+1 yI used to think yes, and on some level I do. But I work at a restaurant and even though the food is really good, the chefs don't show any creativity or finesse. Since it's a chain, they get food from the supplier and they cook it according to the recipe. And anyone can pick up a piece of paper and follow the instructions on it. It's not a bad thing but it's not particularly impressive either.
If he owned his own place or if he was a chef at a locally owned non-franchised restaurant, I would be very impressed by that because that involves skill and creativity that even the nicest chain restaurants don't have. Chains focus much harder on uniformity and consistency rather than personality, creativity, and fostering growth in each employee's unique skills.40 Reply I'd think wow good for him...
As for if I find that attractive hmm not so much...
Most chefs I know are ballon shape xD and even though they cook delicious foods.. everything they cook is loaded with unhealthy stuff that make you look like a ball.. which is not of my interest since I myself have a hard time avoiding things that are bad for my health, which is why I stray away from restaurants. I'm not being a bitch or mean, or critical, I'm simply answering this honestly..
However, if he can cook tasty healthy meals! Then yes! I'd be very impressed! That isn't very common!125 Reply- +1 y
What do you have against frying foods? I fry all the time. It all depends on the type of fats used. Corn and soybean oil are examples of really bad fats, but olive oil coconut oil, and butter from lard is really good for you! Don't let anybody tell you saturated fats are bad for you, they are vital to health, wellness, and life. What you need to consider is the polyunsaturated fat content. The omega 3/6 ratio. Sustaining higher amounts of omega 3's insures proper maintenance as the vice verse

the fats will go rancid, will promote inflammation, and mortality. You are absolutely right though. I never eat at restaurants. You never know what they put in the food. I plan to open my own restaurant one day. Imagine eating really delicious food, and I'm talking about fantastically delicious food, but completely guilt free and 100% healthy and nourishing. Sounds good right?
- +1 y
That is not true, fats go rancid in 2 different ways. One, over time of course. And two, if you heat the oil above its smoking point. If you maintain the heat then then the fat molecules stay intact, you can actually use the oils several times. Of course anytime you heat up a food you kill some of the enzyme activity, but to fit as many mineral and phyto-nutrients, its actually best to mix it up with some raw and fried/sauteed foods, you just have to know the right type of foods to work with!

Do you even understand glycerides? Do you even know what is a glyceride? Frying foods is a great way to get fat into your system. If you didn't already know, fat is the preferred energy source the body needs. Fat does not make you fat. You need fat for cognitive functioning, thyroid regulation, cushioning your organs, making your skin more elastic, building healthy cells, and developing the sheath surrounding the the neurons in your brain. So let me ask you, a triglyceride,

which is a 3 chained molecule that defines the fat, and the truly only natural chained fat molecule. If this chain still has plenty of its enzyme activity intact and not heated above its smoking point, how is this in anyway unhealthy for you? I promise you are playing with fire here. I'm more then confident that I know what I am talking about with anything regarding nutrition!
Yes and no. I love the fact that he can cook, has a passion and doesn't deem cooking to be a woman's job. But chefs can be tempermental, they work long unsociable hours and can be under continuous stress. I did go out with a chef years ago and I worked in the hospitality industry and know what a difficult job it is.
23 Reply- +1 y
I think that is only true for some chefs. I am sure there are decent chefs out there. I don't think you can say all chefs can be temperamental,
- +1 y
I said chefs can be tempermental not are tempermental. But imho being temperamental comes with the job, its stressful, high pressure, constantly pushing yourself to be better. If someone f***s up something that sets the rest of your covers back then you have to give out. I have never met a head chef that was quiet and meek. But its generally left in the kitchen, even with work colleagues. My fiance is confectioner/baker (pastry chef, I suppose) and the nicest, gentle and caring guy you could
+1 yYou can hear the sound of panties hitting the floor the second a guy says "I can cook"
50 ReplyMissing the option "I find men attractive regardless of their profession"
If he's in my kitchen, bonus points.
If he's stuck working long hours in someone else's kitchen, which is normally the case, maybe the attractiveness is lost..00 ReplyUmm make me some steak and potatoes and get in my f***ing bed.
41 ReplyI wouldn't generalise and say I find all male chefs attractive, but I do like a man who can cook; if he makes a living out of it, great. My friend went out with one though and said it wasn't the best because he worked terrible hrs.

+1 yNot A,B nor C. There are male chefs who are attractive, but it's not because they're chefs that they're attractive. It is a plus if a guy can cook though.

+1 yOh heck yes! I love love love absolutely love Gordon Ramsay. No other chefs though. But it would be a plus if I meet a guy who can cook delicious meals for me as I love to eat.

+1 yKnowing how to cook is definitely a quality I can appreciate in a guy. I'm not sure if I'd exactly call it a turn-on but it's usually impressive and appreciated.
00 ReplyIf he's attractive and keeps in shape then the fact that he's a chef is just a major bonus. I'd probably say "Really? Where do you work? You'd have to cool for me some time"

+1 y"I'd f*** that." I probably wouldn't commit to a chef, though. No offense, just don't be surprised.
01 ReplyHow does that matter. The guy would be nice because of his persona and character.
00 Reply"can you cook me something good?", I would b ethrilled.
00 Replydefinitely. I find guys who knows how to cook nice food sexy I don't know why doe

Just like if that's your whole aspiration in life, I find it kinda sad but if a guy can cook besides his job it's sexy for sure.

Early admission to Georgetown. Also accepted to university of Pennsylvania, university of Virginia, Dartmouth, and Princeton. I also skipped a grade. Oh and I've already lined up an internship at Christie's. Its sad I guess because it means they never truly worked to anything compared to what I have or my parents. I guess it's part of my upbringing but I agree with another commenter guys who can cool are very impressive but I wouldn't find them
Attractive other than their personality and looks - +1 y
Let me just tell you that you are wrong if you think one can not achieve a lot by being a chief. It is a very competitive field and it requires a lot of work and perseverance. Most accomplished, recognised chief have worked very hard to get where they are.
Now I find it sad that you think the only thing worth doing, that will make someone accomplished, must require a huge brain, and it's even sadder that you feel entitled to such a comment because of your academic success (which, but that is - +1 y
only my opinion, doesn't alwaus mean that you're a genius or special or whatever else .. ) I hope you grow to realize one day that grades and diplomas are not an end in themselves. Following one's true passion, investing in one's dream is. And for some cooking truly is a passion. There is nothing wrong with them wanting to take it to the top level.
