At what age do girls start crushing on boys?

What age do girls feel like having a crush on boys.. and what are the boys' character traits, what makes girls develop crushes?

Sister had her first major crush in kindergarten or 1st grade. I started thinking guys were cute as soon as I started watching tv. As long as I can remember really. But my crushes never got "sexual" until fith grade. They weren't supposed to be sexual but that's when I started having dirty dreams about certain boys and doing stuff in those dreams that I didn't even know people did yet. I guess it started off very shallow. Just cute boys. Mean or nice didn't matter too much. If they were "popular" that helped. But I thought certain "not cool" boys were cute too so I don't know. I like weird guys. I think I always have. I just remembered, I'm the same age as the Harry Potter characters and when that first movie came out, I was his age, and I had THE hugest crush on Harry Potter. I would doodle him and his name in my notebooks and everything:)...

hmm... birth? XD I mean crushes start REALLY early. for boys too... my little cousin makes flirty faces and he's only one... but my first real crush was in Kindergarten. It was pretty superficial... I guess I just thought the boy was cute. lol. I think the first time I started noticing the traits I liked about someone other than just "he's really nice to everyone," or "he doesn't act like the other boys" was in high school. As for which traits are attractive for girls, it's different for everyone. Personally, my "love language" is words of affirmation, (if you don't know what this means, I highly suggest looking it up... knowing a girl's love language will tell you a lot about how to act.) so I would feel flattered when someone complimented me, and might find myself crushing on them.

I'd say it varies from 6-9/10. When I was little, a crush meant I thought the boy was funny and I had fun with them. Around middle school crushes start gaining a little more substance meaning the girl develops feeling based more on the guy's personality and interests but also majorly on attractiveness. Past that, the attraction matures more and it is more based on the guy's personality and isn't based as much on superficial attributes.

Girls begin to crush on boys from around 10 years old and onward - which is the same for guys. What she's looking for varies from girl to girl but you can assume that physical appearance, money, personality are determining factors.

Why did you associate being 10 with having money? I simply stated that attraction begins at somewhere around 10 and that money is a factor in male-female attraction. I'm assuming that, since the QA is 23 that he is referring to 23-year old girls. You should know that the dynamic of "crushing" changes as people age. Just because money is a factor when people are older does not necessarily mean that it is when they are 10.

I'm willing to bet that I had more money at 10 than you do now, lmao.

about 10-11 for me for proper crushes and I was only interested in their cute faces and how funny they were. I did have a silly crush when I was 8 but only because the older (12) guy said he liked me and I just said it back because I was flattered lol I didn't really understand the concept then

I was 5 years old when I had my first crush.

His name was jessie! and he played handball.

I think at that age the only trait that matters is attraction to face. That's all I can remember, being so allured to his cute face! lol

I was 7, I think, when I had my first crush. At the age of 4 I thought I had a crush on a boy and said I would marry him. I don't think that was real though.

We tend to start having 'fun' crushes at about age 10. For example, at 10, we flip through magazines talking about which celebrities are hot and which ones aren't.

At about 13, we start having real crushes, on guys closer to us. These sometimes evolve into first romances, which almost never go anywhere.

As for what qualities we find attractive, it depends on the girl. Sorry, but me offering my personal stuff wouldn't be much help in this case.
