Is staring really that clear of a sign of attraction?

I read an article on here that all a girl needs to know if a guy likes her is whether he stares or glances at her repeatedly. Is it really that simple?!

I have caught this guy looking at me from across the room a couple times. I'm not great at catching him, but my friend said that she noticed he was looking at me repeatedly while I was talking to her.

Is that seriously all I need to know if he is interested? That seems too easy!

I wish all women would understand that when us guys stare we are very, very interested. But alas, as I see on your question and on multiple others, you girls often think there must be something on your faces (or some similar thought) when you catch us guys staring.

There's one girl in my college that I'm hugely attracted to; I've found myself repeatedly staring at her (without smiling) and just being in awe of her looks - I bet she doesn't think I'm extremely attracted to her

He basically does that. Like he will glance over at me repeatedly if I'm across the room from him but he doesn't smile. I'm bad at catching him, but when I do he just continues looking at me and he doesn't smile. I have caught him doing this while he was talking to some other girl or even when he is by himself and I'm talking to a group of friends.

Half the time I question if he is even looking at me or if he is just bored or something.

Well, I don't know about him but I only stare at girls I like - and I don't smile; I don't know why I don't smile; can't speak for other guys though
