How can you tell if a very friendly, outgoing guy likes you?

How can you tell if you're just another girl he chats with sometimes, or if he's interested in you?

If it helps, he seems to get a little fidgety around me, he compliments my work when I haven't seen him do this to other girls in class. He calls me by my name a lot. He teases me sometimes for being shy. But I can't tell if this is just normal stuff

I would say with guys, the best indicator is if he initiates physical contact with you. Of course if he is not quite confident with girls then he wouldn't do it at all, but that doesn't sound like the case. Also if he tries to make you laugh. Pay more attention when your alone rather than in a group situation, it is more of an indicator.

It's hard to tell if he's confident with girls or not. He hangs out with a couple of girls from class sometimes but I don't know how he is with girls he likes. But I've never seen him get touchy with any girl, maybe because he's religious. Also he pretty much only approaches me when I'm alone, so why would he do that?

I would say that calling you by name is a good sign. I meant just like brushing your arm or stomach during normal conversation, he maybe not comfortable doing that, but I doubt it is for religious reasons unless he is uber religious. As for approaching you alone, I don't know that is something I do myself. Depends on how confident the guy is it could be because he is embarrassed about liking you or as in my case, when your alone you have a much better connection alone. Again I still would talk to her in a group but I just would be as interested in her at particular moment.

Are you kidding? I NEVER touch-flirt women because I'm literally afraid of getting sued or arrested. Being shy or religious is the last thing on my mind.

I think it is totally normal to touch people during a conversation. You just don't notice it when you a it to people you comfortable with. I am talking about non sexual touching. Like even if I am with a bro and a want to get his attention, I might hit the back of my Hand on him. It's totally normal just watch people, most people don't notice it.

I think the best indicator is INVITING you out. That's pretty straight forward. Normally when he hangs out with groups of girls doesn't mean much.
