Why would he pretend not to see me?

A man at my work who I have a crush on walked by me the other day in the street. He does not know I have a crush on him. We were not even a meter from each other. When I looked up he immediately looked the other way so he did see me but blatantly ignored me. I don't know him that well but we know who each other are as we are in the same department. Why would a grown man behave in that way he could have at least smiled or said hi not pretend he didn't see me. He does look at me and acknowledge me at other times. It was just odd.

2 reasons either he just doesn't like you or crush on you at all.

Or if he is like me and a bit shy when it comes to dating or women. Then he did it so he doesn't show his feelings. Shy guys don't show off their feelings, it's like a defence mechanism and it just happens.

I've ignored a girl I liked or looked away even though deep inside I wanted to just be next to her and talk to her. I guess shy guys don't know how to react, so they play the safe game and take safe actions.

People just act so strange sometimes. It really unexplainable but maybe he felt awkward seeing u outside of the work environment and he was kinds stumped so just looked the other way.

Maybe he is shy or playing hard too get
