A close shave

Ok, I'm wondering how I can get a good, close bikini shave. I never seem to be able to get a smooth, close shave. I've tried all kinds of shavers and creams. Guys, you can answer too. I think that shaving down there is similar to shaving a face, lol. THANKS!

Very much like shaving a face except for the shape of the terrain. I go 100% bald and smooth and I have always just used a simple disposable razor. Your skin gets much more resistant to razor burn with repetition. The pro-green nature activist part of me hates this but unfortunately you shouldn't over use a razor. Use it at most for a week if you shave every day. After that it will nick and pull and give you a rash. Cold water really helps too because the pores contract and force a tiny bit more hair out which leaves the cut end just barely below the skin. Avoid this though unless your razor is new and sharp. Using cold water with a dull old razor will cause bad razor burn. Oh, and I just use regular old soap. Nothing fancy. Get it lathered up really good. Lots of water. Fully rince and re-apply the soap if needed. And very very important: Don't shave unless you have already bathed/showered. ANY microscopic debris or skin dander will increase the likelihood of razor burn and irritation or even pimples. May the force be with you.

Wash. Rinse. Dry. Dampen. Soap. Lather. Shave. Happy trails (pun intended).

First of all you need to have a really sharp and not dull razor blade. The sharper your razor is the less likely you will cut yourself (true). Walmart and drugstores sell little one blade razors just for the bikini area. Also I wouldn't use regular shave cream. I use BikiniZone's Anti-bumps shaving gel. It doesn't foam up like regular shave gels so you can see what you are shaving and has ingredients that helps minimize bumps and cuts. Use short strokes also. If you haven't tried it you could also use a depilatory like nair that you put on wait and then take off. the good thing about this is it gets some of the hair under the skin to make it really smooth.

I use the gillette mens mach 4 razor,super smooth shave. just be very careful, there aren't any guards on mens razors.

Get the Embrace razor. Before you get in the shower/bath lay on your bed and feel the stubble you have and determine the direction you have to shave based on the way the hair is growing on the different parts of your pubic region. I shave against the stubble so to speak and it works very well. I shave twice a day and have been doing it for four years. My husband loves it!

What I have used when I started shaving my genitals was a double/triple blade razor with moisturizer strips on it. Dove soap lathered up real good in a hot, hot shower and a Lanolin or Aloe type skin cream after. I've been told that taking vitamin E helps and using the fluid in a vitamin E capsule as a skin cream works as well. Hope this helped.

The best way that I've found is to use Nair lotion. Follow application steps exactly. Afterward, while still in the shower or tub; use a sharp, multiple bladed razor and shave any stray hairs and go with the grain. When done with shower, pat area dry and apply a small amount of lotion to prevent any possible ingrown hairs. Apply lotion after every shower or bath from then on.

Just get waxed. It hurts but it'll be smoother and last a little longer than shaving

I am a big person on being trimmed... I'd rather trim because it's more easier fun... bikini shave... I saw a woman I was with that had stubble... I'd rather her hairless
