Questions: Flirting

For the record it ends up being guys or girls. It really doesn't matter. It isn't leading to anything. Or it might. Who knows? I won't remember it anyway.

I am a divorcée who is often out with her children. I get "hit on" quite a bit. When I say hit on I mean men attempting to or making prolonged eye contact with me then staring to see if I'll respond.

Some of them do pique my interest and I'm not afraid to reciprocate BUT I've been apprehensive because I think these are probably men looking for an affair since most people assume a woman with kids is married or in a relationship.

I mean I get the same type of timid approaches when I am without my kids also so I don't know.

Sometimes, it's men who have seen me with and without my children and they are still super curious and making it clear they are interested even subtly.

Am I wrong in thinking they all have nefarious intentions or shoud I reciprocate if I'm interested?

I'm bad at picking up signals so I don't automatically think of flirting and also I have a boyfriend so that wasn't in my mindset.

I was in the free weight section doing some bench pressing on the smith machine and was recording my progress as I didn't have my regular gym buddy to spot me.
This one dude who was a personal trainer and had been there for a while smiled at me whilst I was working out and was going around cleaning the equipment.
He noticed I was recording and tried to go round my phone so he wasn't in the shot. I made a little joke and said I was done. Then he ended up having a conversation with me for a good hour.
I noticed when we talking about good posture and form that he looked at me up and down then said "yeah... you definitely got form"

After he said if I ever want any advice on any "excerises he would be happy to help."

I told my boyfriend after my session at the gym and said that yeah he was definitely flirting with you.

Do you think this is true or was the trainer just being friendly? 🤔
