I suck at flirting and trying to hit on people lol but for the last few months I've been going to the Starbucks next to my office and I totally have a crush on one of the guys that works there.

I did comment on a pin he had on his uniform because it was from my favorite movie but that's it. Every other time I just freeze up. The last time I was there (after the comment I made) we kept making eye contact with each other so it felt like maybe he had some interest in me too.

Anyway, how should I go about either asking for his number or just giving mine? Is that appropriate to do while he's working?

I was thinking when I got my receipt from him I could quickly write it down and hand it back to him or just come in with a note that basically says he caught my interest and here's my number?

Any tips or ideas are welcome.. please!! And thank you Lol

As a former waiter I think I can help - Well I worked in a sushi place so it's kinda different but still might give you ideas - A girl came with a group of friends and I made a little joke about something that was going on another table - Then the girl kept asking me to get her more ginger like every 5 minutes so I teased her about how she's eating so quickly, we teased each other a bit and even though I didn't ask for it she left me her number on a napkin I didn'tnnotice until after she left - I'd say from this that you should try to somehow get his attention more and have little fun chats here and there - and if you can't find any ideas just go with the leaving your number somewhere..

it usually doesn’t go well to ask for someone’s contacts like they do in Hollywood and movies. Either ask your friends if they have his number. Or if you are gonna ask him, make sure you already know him a little and if he doesn’t let you have his number than dont make a big deal about it.

If you know his name then write it on paper with your number and your name and slide it to him. Quick easy, less likely to make a nervous mistake

How do you suggest I get to know him then if I only ever see him if/when he's working?

If you don't have any mutual friends that's gonna be really difficult.
Just observe him and you will find ways to initiate conversation.

Maybe next time just ask him something random or normal, like the time. Even a smile is good too.

Note his name and try to look him up in social media.

If he have social media, maybe there's a chance that he's following his place of work or any other famous place or person in your area.

Or try to befriend any of his friends or coworkers male or female. It would be easy to find his socials then.
