That's like asking if I want 10 $20 bills or 20 $10 bills - I'll take either.

Gyros are great, as is spanokopita (spinach pie), souvlaki (marinated pork shish-kebob), baklava, loukemades (honey-cinnamon donut holes).

Ravioli is great, antipasti, pastas with any of a number of sauces, spaghetti carbonara (I make a decent version), cannoli (can't forget dessert).

I guess I'd have to go with RedThread's thought, since I just don't get as much Greek food, I tend to appreciate it a bit more.

I have cooked both and eaten tons of both!
I prefer Italian. Italian food has more diversity, more diverse pastries, each region has very different cuisines, Italian wine is superior as well.
HOWEVER, greek food is delicious, and very healthy. The Mediterranean diet is good for a long healthy virile life. Both Nations have influenced each others cuisines too.

I eat Italian more often because good Greek is hard to find but I’ve had more memorable really good Greek meals than I have Italian

Not only is Italian food delicious and tasty but I also like the culture and ambiance of Italian food and Italian restaurants.

I'm an American partially of Greek descent with Italian relatives as well. I have spent time in Italy witnessing Italian culinary. My observations about Italian food is that there is a lot of reliance on pork, flour and cheese. What the Italians do, they do equisitely well. Not just food but their care creates culture. Their San Pelligrino tomatoes are simply considered the best. Even their pizza--not how easy is that to make--is simply superb when served in a decent Italian restaurant (I was in Calabria). No comparison with what you are eating in the US or elsewhere... Greek food, made like my cousin makes, is simply the best, superb food you could get anywhere. I would say that the menu is limited compared to Italian foods, but that the ingredients are generally more healthy, as statistics seem to bear out.

Italian, because it has so many of the classics. Pizza, pasta, pancakes. It's my favorite cuisine as a matter of fact. All my favorite food! Well, besides burgers.

Greeks also lose a lot of damn points for not understanding what "burger" means (spite).

Italian spices and taste are much better. they have richer flavor profiles compared to Greek where it's more about strong taste.
