Pizza Debate: Is It Better Hot or Cold?

Question

Call me a chaotic evil, but I've heated up a pizza and directly put it in the fridge before eating it because it's way better cold ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm the type of person who likes to eat things cold. Call me a sinner, but that includes soup, cereal and yes, pizza. I mean yeah, if pizza is served to me hot and I'm starving, I'll eat it hot. Sometimes I'll wait for it to cool down. When there is leftover pizza in the fridge, I won't bother reheating it.

Have you always eaten pizza cold? I feel like if you got used to eating pizza cold, then its would taste better. I've eaten pizza warm all my life so cold pizza doesn't taste as good to me

Saying you love cold pizza is like saying you like your kolaches a few days old, or you like stale french bread loaf more than a fresh one. It’s like saying you like mozzarella sticks, but only when the cheese isn’t melted.

Its best put in the bin lol Dont get me wrong , I will eat it , maybe with the right toppings I would like it , but it does not make sense at all as a dish. Its like lemon meringue pie , it just doesn't work. If they cooked the base first so you had bread and not dough then added the toppings pre cooked and melted them all into the cheese under the grill then yes it would work but cooking it all at the same time does not work , making it greasy and moist , maybe this is why you prefer it cold so everything sets again. Sorry I love cooking and I hate rubbish dishes that go against good cooking and then becoming so popular lol

What is wrong with you? I just told my pizza what you do with yours and it hates you for it. It has not stopped crying for the last five hours after hearing what you do to it's brothers and sisters... and it's brothers and sisters with pineapple on them.

I prefer hot pizza so I have to call you chaotic evil. LOL! Cold pizza is fine. But why do you need to heat it up and then putting it in the fridge? Can't you just enjoy it as it is -- cold?

My thoughts are cold pizza for breakfast and hot pizza for dinner for the first meal only after that it is meant to be eaten cold. No need to waste time in the morning, but this is coming from a single guy

Pizza is delicious hot but something else altogether is some so différant and wonderful about the bleaded flavours of cold pizza the next day or in my case as a midnight snack or the next mornings breakfast.

Right now as of late I've been eating New York style pepperoni pizza every other day and I love it. I put it in the freezer for 30 minutes and it comes out nice and chill and I eat it at midnight for a midnight snack after I've eaten some of it warm when bought hours earlier. I prefer mine lukewarm. Its funny you say that, I have noticed some people prefer their pizza cold, similarly I have noticed people take water out the fridge and place it on top of an oven to heat it up. Funny kind of madness.

In college, it really comes down to drinking with friends, having fun (hot), or waking up hungover, and it is there (cold), when you need to get to class.

everyone has their own preference in taste, as you should know. Personally, I like it hot and fresh, but not scorching hot, so I let it cool down for a few minutes for actually scarfing it.

Hot out of the oven is best. Then cold from the tabletop (NOT REFRIGERATED). Then refrigerated. Reheated is miserable.
