No, no, no, no. Onions are sweet and juicy. I like a slice of raw onion on a burger. I like burgers with grilled onions on them, too. I love onion rings. I love green onions (chives) on things. I like Maui onion flavored potato chips. Which brings up the point that there are different varieties of onions.

Onions are an essential ingredient in most cooked foods. Many recipes begin by sauteing onion and garlic before adding other ingredients like carrots, celery, meat, broth, herbs, etc., whatever.
Spaghetti sauce would be crap without onions.

Buuuut... everyone has different taste. It's like the gene that makes cilantro taste like soap for some people.
My own thing is, olives taste more horrible than almost anything I could put in my mouth. I might look at big Kalamata olives and think they look so good. I think "maybe my taste buds have matured." But no. Olives are evil. It's weird because I love olive oil. I even love puttanesca sauce, which is made mostly of olives.

No. Not even close. I'm hardly unbiased; I quite like onions, and will sometimes eat one like you would an apple, but in a world with lutefisk (is it an entree? Is it an industrial solvent? It's both!) and casu marzu (and the Lord said "Let there be- eww, what the hell is THAT?"), a mere unpleasant vegetable can't compete.

Not at all! Onions add great flavor to so many foods in my opinion. I cook with them a lot. I always brown my ground beef with lots of diced onion, as I think it always tastes so much better that way, and I cook them into one of my recipes for marinara sauce, for example. There are many, many savory foods that contain onion powder for flavoring, as well.

Nah! They are the basis for a good curry or pasta sauce. Onion rings nice with any grilled dish.
