most artistic and some very expensive foods are far more about looks than taste fur sure.

sometimes, to make a beautiful dish, specially bread, dessert or something for a high end cuisine, you have to use ingredients that will look good, so they have to look fresh, or more rigid, so they will have a good presentation. sometimes you have to use ingredients that are made by man, so they may not be the best taste.

for example, some birthday cakes can be not so tasty, because for them to hold a beautiful shapes, they need a rigid batter, and a cream or frosting that is solid.

the best foods are home made, when you use fresh ingredients and are make the meal/dessert/bread from scratch, sometimes a dessert made by you, may not be so beautiful, but it may be worth 1 million kisses of love!!!

Dragon fruit all the way. They look so vibrant and exotic, but taste underwhelming. At least for me. Maybe I've just bad luck with them though.
