I really don't like it! I tried a few times in the US but it's not my thing. I prefer the more bitter/sour orange juice over Tang and I still don't like orange juice or most fruit juice much in general. I do like prune juice though: warrior's drink! :-D
I'm watching old episodes of Star Trek Deep Space 9, and it's always funny to see Worf order "prune juice, large" at the replicator
With regular orange juice, I like the kind with the pulp in it much more. The more watery/sweet kind doesn't appeal to me as the pulpy and sour kind. I'm with the astronauts who complained about Tang. :-D
Worf is my man! He's my favorite character on Star Trek. I want to be more like Picard but I think I'm more of an awkward mix of Worf and La Forge and Riker sharing more of their worse traits than their very best. I hope I don't offend Americans too much but I also hated Kool-Aid. I think I liked that even less than Tang, and that's not saying much.
In Japan, we don't deviate too far usually from the natural taste and texture of the ingredient. For example, I noticed in the US that lots of people cook broccoli until it's almost like mush, while we barely steam it keeping it crunchy. I did come to love that mushy broccoli though in the US, especially with melted cheese on top. I acquired some Americanized tastes in the course of staying there, but Tang and Kool-Aid and Jello are things I never quite acquired a taste toward.
As a kid, we always had a jar (glass jars back then) in the pantry. We normally mixed it with tap water, and I never thought it tasted very good.
If I've had a glass of Tang in the last 50 years, I don't remember it.
Tang Orange/Mango/Pineapple... Drink Instant Powders are available in my country, but I never bought one of them.
I've seen it in stores and ads but never really tried it

I've never had the stuff, but I understand there was a group so enthusiastic they'd give a shout of joy and named their clan after the stuff.
It’s been a long time but yes I do I actually like it. Do you think astronauts really drink that?
From what I've read, astronauts did drink tang on their space flights because it was easy to transport and mix the powder with water.
I haven't had Tang since I was a kid. But, you're right - it was the drink of astronauts, who were considered real heroes in our day. Ticker tape parades - the whole 9 yards.
I did not even know they still made it. I used to eat it out of the jar. I would lick it off my finger. My tongue was always orange.
God no. That stuff is horrible, that and Sunny D: 🤢🤮
I still do. When Im out of orange juice.. It tastes better with vodka..
My mom at one point did but she stopped buying it because we didn’t like it.
I used to drink TANG. That is the shit you live on when Camping. That said, re runs of Married With Children gets you by on the white bread with tang.
Nope. I haven't even seen it in stores.
I've had it, but not for a long time. I liked it.
Its out of this world 😂
Tang is still sold by Walmart and sometimes Costco. My "Out of this world" comment comes from NASA use of it in almost all missions from the first until today. Tang and pop tarts were an accessional breakfast in my 70s childhood.
I haven't seen Tang retail since like 1994.
I like some Sausage with my Tang!!!
It's been many years since I drank that. Lol
Never had it.
Nope
Notnymore!
I used to.
