Are air fryers actually worth it?

Those that use air fryers are they worth the money or is oven almost the same? I don’t add oil to my food but still want nice and crispy

It depends, I usually suggest them for college students in dorms or people without convection ovens. Convection ovens and air fryers are the same thing, but air fryers are just mini and higher powered convection ovens.


If you have a convection oven, I don’t suggest an air fryer because you don’t need it. It would be a waste of money to buy it.


Air fryers are convenient and a lot quicker than convection ovens, and I love them because I use it for making a quick lunch, or to heat up day old fries. However, I don’t think they’re worth all the hype. I could easily use my convection oven and make bigger portions of food, rather than smaller portions and adding more once the others are done in the air fryer.

Air fryer's are superior for crispiness for things like fries. When I want fries, I want them slightly burnt. Air fryer's do that faster than ovens. It's healthier than actual deep frying, but doesn't taste as good.

Very different from an oven. See it as a deep-fryer without the oil. The taste will be worse and it will be less crispy, but it saves you that whole mess.
