Are Air Pods worth it to you?

If you did not know, Air Pods are Apple's generation of wireless earbuds, they currently cost £155

I am stuck with in-between with this, maybe I am biased.
I recently upgraded from an iPhone 5C 8GB to an iPhone XS, If you didn't know or you're an android user my old phone barely functioned,

Sometimes not receiving texts or calls, the 8GB Of space was nowhere near enough for essential apps like banking and such. No room for photos of family, It really was due for an upgrade.

My new iPhone has no headphone jack, just a single lighting port so I cannot charge and listen to music at the same time, I had spare money from an online friend and thought "Fuck It" and got Air Pods, they are pleasant.

Pros (In my opinion)

1. They're nice to walk around with, I can put my phone down and do house chores while listening to music without having to lug around my phone.

2. The connectivity Is surprisingly good.

3. They last a good music session/18 Hours.

4. They fit in my ear.

Cons.

1. They are for sure a luxury at the price of £77 each.. that's a lot.

2. They are not diverse, Apple has always been slandered for the earbud shape which do not fit in every type of ear and there's nothing to change that, for the price point they should be able to fit most but that's simply not true.

3. Very easy to lose, a good £155 down the drain If lost.

4. This is one my mother bought up, they look like a hearing aid.

I do not have an iPhone. I don't own one because I have over 3500 songs and I would have to spend a lot more for the storage space. I do have an iPod touch as well ad a Samsung Galaxy 7 and my Airbuds pair with both my Android phone as well as my iPod. I like that I can talk on my phone using my Airpods for handsfree use.

What I don't like is the small size that resembles a box of dental floss. Several years ago I was in the hospital and I had my Airbuds in and I placed my Airpod box on my try table. I fell asleep. When I woke up they were gone. I called the nurse and it was discovered that the case was taken by by housekeeping because they thought it was an empty box of dental floss.

Also other cons is that the power doesn't last more than 4 hours. But it only takes 15 minutes to fully recharge so I guess there are more pros than cons.

I lose everything and I don’t lose these guys. If you’re running and don’t want to carry the case but need to take the earbud out your cab get a watch band that it tuck into.

I do take one out and put it on an arm rest of my large couch at home. But I have my bud case on a loop with my keys. They hook to my water jug.

I use them when I’m getting dressed in the morning. This includes in the shower and blow drying my hair to listen to Podcasts, morning news. It’s the best!

You aren’t supposed to use them in the shower as they aren’t advertised as water resistant but I have a friend who tucks hers into her jean pockets then accidentally send them through the washer. She lets them air dry and they are fine. They’ve never made it to the dryer so don’t know how that would go.

I have a protective case in the holder the hooks into my car key, water jug, work pass. They go everywhere with me. I very rarely answer my cell without a pod in my ear because people can hear me better on the AirPod than on my phone since I have a case on my phone.

If I’m outside they can’t even tell I’m on an AirPod, no background noise. If I’m in my office it echoes so they think they are on speaker

They literally just aren't a good deal. The sound quality is mediocre, the battery life is ok and the price is astronomic. The only reason they are successful is because of the pseudo monopoly apple created in their own brand. It's predatory. If you want similar quality for a stupidly lower price try the Xiaomi air dots. If you want the same price but incomparably better sound performance try the Jaybirds.

Personally, I think they're overpriced. However, some people are willing to pay for the brand name or the aesthetic look, for the lack of a better word. I'd be concerned about the battery life, long term. I use Anker wireless earbuds, they're much cheaper, and have good bass which I personally prefer. In terms of practicality, airpods are very convenient when it comes to easy pairing to your phone or answering calls

Actually you can find imitations for much less than that. I bought my brother a pair of the internet for 5€. They work fine and have no issue at all.
Apple products in my opinion are overcharged and not worth to invest in.

so i think they are worth it since i listen to a ton of music when im going to and from my job/school, my parents likes to travel a lot and its nice to have on a plane so i have a ton of battery life just incase i haven't charged them for a few days, the battery life is extremly long, they are comfortable in my ears, they last me about a week before i have to charge them again and then i just really like the small and recognizable design so people doesn't think im deaf

No, they’re just overpriced bluetooth earbuds. I can go on Amazon and pick up a pair that work just as well and look the exact same for like $20.

If you are looking for these amazing sounding headphones then don't buy them. For what they are, the fact that even playing basketball they never come out of my ear, they are super lightweight I love them.

If they broke, are they just trash... my headset was 8 bucks... imagine how many I could brake every month just to came at the same amount of money... and the sound quality istn that good at airpods... old in ear tec is way better

They are just overpriced in my opinion. Yes they are premium quality and Apple product but I don't see much to spend so much on wireless earphones. Rather buy a good Android phone with that or some other reasonably priced wireless earphones.
