I've never cared that much for lobster. It seems to be considered such an exquisite food and I've tried everything from cheapo Red Lobster to the fanciest restaurants that asked us to pick out a lobster from an aquarium to kill and eat. I don't see what's the big deal.

I don't find the beauty of it as I do with dry-aged beef or something like that. I even prefer fried shrimp or a shrimp cocktail. I don't understand what's the big deal with lobster (or crab for that matter).

It's often overcooked. I prefer it when I prepare it over the gamble of having a restaurant do it, for that, it's much safer to get a filet mignon.

I feel the same way about Eggs Benedict, it is only prepared to my satisfaction less than 10% of the time in restaurants. The only people who can do it properly are myself and my aunt (who taught me her recipe).

As for a actual lobster well it taste good not as good as crab but I can see why people like the taste but the effort of getting it ready is hardly worth it in my opinion

I Can’t eat Lobster, I’m Jewish. It makes perfect sense when you think about the state of food handling, transportation, and preparation hygiene 3,500 years ago. But today? It just seems to be a prohibition without a valid reason, but all that being said, and me being non-religious I still won’t eat pork, OR fish without fins or scales, or especially things that fly in swarms like insects!

Sea food has always seemed scary to me, I've only eaten salmon cuz it was a little piece. I can't eat fish if I see the tail and eyes, I could never touch a lobster.

To be honest I don't like any sea animal in total. To me they are like land animals but not cooked. I don't like chewy or raw foods. So in total I don't like the texture.
