Peaches or nectarines?

As we all know nectarines are just shaved peaches. A lot of people don't like the hairy fuzzy skin so each morning the shop keeper shaves it off. I quite like the added texture of a juicy furry peaches but what about you?

I don't eat either very often, but I like the flavor of peaches better.
When I was growing up, our neighbor had a "white peach" tree. They explained that white peaches had thin, edible skin. My first thought was that the fuzzy skin was weird. But after watching that family eat them like apples, I grew to enjoy picking and eating those sweet, juicy peaches.

My wife and I have a "fruit salad" tree that has peaches, plums, nectarines and apricots grafted onto it.

Though a bit of fuzz is nice, shaved smooth is nicer.

The fuzz part of the peach gives me the chill when I bite into it. I prefer bald and smooth like a shiny head.

I never seem to be able to eat peaches in a civilised manner; I always end up covered in juice.
