Does anyone like Moxie?

Moxie was invented in Massachusetts and is the official soft drink of Maine. I had a cookout at a campground and it happened to be the same weekend as the annual Moxie festival. People were all wearing Moxie t-shirts and drinking that foul stuff. I thought it tasted like dead leaves. It is the first carbonated beverage made in America.

My son came to visit Saturday and he was drinking Moxie. He said everyone at school used to drink it.

I vaguely remember trying something that may have been Moxie when I was visiting a friend outside Boston a few years ago. I don't remember much about it, which implies that it wasn't bad... nor good... very unremarkable.

I used to work out with a guy who would drink a quart of Jolt Cola at 5AM. One day I tried it and thought I was gonig to have a heart attack.

I was just reading a list of drinks that are bad for your health, like Coke, and Moxie was on it. Either too much sugar or sodium, and lots of calories.

Never had it.
don’t go for soft drinks.
My drinks of the day is, cup of tea. Water the rest of the day.
If I drink anything else with sugar/caffeine … I would be off the wall hyper.

Iti is similar to root beer. It is sold in New England and New York.
