What do you know how to make, or have experience with, or like to make? Asking you to make something you’ve never heard of isn’t really fair, and the results would probably be better if you’ve ever made it for before or like making it. After being in the military, I encountered a lot of things that are legally called food but required a fair bit of creative interpretation of the definition shall we say. What are the top 5 things you are great at making and I’ll pick my favorite? You might be surprised what I’ve found to be good before.

Wienerschnitzel or Holsteiner
Lightly breaded pan fried veal cutlet, garnished with capers, lemon and anchovies, served with spaetzle, red & white cabbage
Top it with a fried egg and call it Holsteiner
Salmon Salad
Fresh mixed greens blackened salmon fillet, tomatoes, pickled beets, coleslaw and cucumber salad with maple vinaigrette
Mushroom Ragout
Portobello, cremini and button mushrooms with red wine, balsamic reduction and cream served on spaetzle
Raspberry Bread Pudding

Definitely my favorite here" tradidional bread pudding with real raspberries, bread, butter and milk. I like it serve it warm with whipped cream and more raspberry sauce
And top of the meal with any of these beers from Germany
I hope you like cooking, because my food order is a biggie

  I’m just saying, there are some fish that are poisonous if not prepped correctly. Puffers are a japanese fave apparently. But the eater has to trust the cook cut it correctly. there's no way to know until death.
