What's For Dinner?

There once was a man who forgot to make dinner and died. He had been so preoccupied with work, and the stress of everyday life, that he had neglected the most basic of tasks. He had promised his wife and children that he would be home early to make dinner, but as the day went on, he became consumed with work and the ticking clock of deadlines.

As the sun began to set, he realized that he had completely forgotten about dinner. He felt a pang of guilt in his stomach as he imagined the disappointment on his family's faces. He quickly gathered his things and rushed home, but as he opened the door, the smell of burning food hit him like a brick wall.

His wife and children were sitting at the table, tears streaming down their faces. He realized that in his haste, he had left the stove on and a pot of boiling water had boiled dry, causing a fire to break out in the kitchen. The flames had spread quickly, engulfing the entire house.

He tried to put out the fire, but it was too late. The flames consumed him, and he died, alone and guilty, knowing that his neglect had caused the death of his family. His last thoughts were filled with regrets, and the knowledge that he would never have the chance to make it right, and tell his family how much he loved them.

The man's death was a tragic reminder of the importance of taking care of one's responsibilities and not taking the people we love for granted. It also shows how small things can cause big consequences in life, and how one's neglect can lead to devastating ends.
