Steak or Lobster?

No lobster for me, only steak. I seem to be in the odd camp that never liked lobster, and I'd tried it at Michelin-Star restaurants. I do like some seafood though like cocktail shrimp, calamari, caviar, raw tuna, etc. Just not lobster and crab as much as most people.

Well here's my opinion , I would try both steak & lobster - I mean Steak is so delicious an I love that when you eat a steak you have to really chew on it to get it clean off the bone. & Lobster - my favorite part is the Tail cause it's my favorite part & more delicious

Steak for me as we dont have lobster in NZ as it would be too expensive but we have crayfish which is cheaper and is still very yummy, but not as classy as lobster tho

I like lobster alone but steak when it’s medium well done and not to fat and seasoned in peppercorn and put next to mashed potatoes and asparagus.

Lobster. One reason why I would live on the east coast would be to have fresh lobster all the time.
A tender, marbled steak cooked medium/medium rare is delicious, but I'd pick lobster if I had a choice. I freaking love it!

Neither. I tried steak a long time ago and found it quite pointless. All you do is chew the hell out of it `til there's no flavour left than give it to the dog!

Granted, there are some pretty lousy steak joints, but you're missing out, man.
You just have to find the right butcher or restaurant.
Medium rare, prime Angus bone-in-ribeye is my go-to at my primo local eateries and meat shops.

@nolabels Mom made a steak for dad and asked me if I wanted to try it. He sliced off a cube for me and gave it to me and, after bouncing my jaws for a number of minutes trying to break it up, I gave it to the dog. I love Steak-Ums and steak hoagies but, just plain thick steak, none for me, thanks! Gimmie a hamburger!!

I've heard of Steak-Um, but I've never had the... umm, pleasure?
I just took a look at them. They look to me like something that shoes would be made out of.

@nolabels it's the same thing you get on a steak hoagie. each one is two sheets of steak, all I do is put them in a skillet for about a minute per side and slap `em on a sheet of mayo'd bread with more mayo between each one and another slice of mayo'd bread on top. Sometimes, I'll toss some grated cheese on each sandwich, too. It only takes about 5:00 to make two of those sammiches and you can tuck right in!!

Maybe Steak-Umm is like SPAM, looks terrible, tastes heavenly.

@nolabels Could be but, I don't see how they look terrible. It's just very thin slabs of real steak
I prefer Treet. Spam tends to be a bit too greasy and fat-laden. Also a lot saltier. I don't put salt on Treet. I just slice it down into about a dozen slices and fry it in butter. To follow it up, I make a box of Rice-a-Roni (chicken).

I was kind of half joking about it looking terrible, just half, though.
I do love SPAM, salt and all.
I've heard of Treet, but like Steak-Umm, never had it.
I checked it out.
Wikipedia says that it's similar to bologna or Vienna sausage.
It looks like something I'd like.
I love fried bologna.
I wonder how I got to be 64 years old without having had Treet.

@nolabels As far as I know, it's a kind of ham.
same way i have without eating veggies!
Maybe you have had it and didn't know. Mom used to ground some of it up to mix with hamburger and pizza sauce to make pizza burgers!
Break up some hamburger into a skillet and mix in the Spam/Treet, fry the meat until brown, drain off the grease and mix in some pizza sauce while on a low flame. When it's warm (hot) enough, scoop some out and put it on half a hamburger bun and place it on a cookie sheet, preferably with several more of those and then load pizza cheese on top of them and toss that in the oven for about 10:00. Just long enough for the cheese to melt. Take `em out and eat `em! Yum, yum!! Keep them away from Squatches but, don't worry about the flamingos!!

Those sound pretty good.

My wife does something sort of similar every once in a while.

Squatch sightings have been on the rise in my neck of the woods lately.
It might be interesting to sit down to a platter full of pizza burgers with Ole' Squatch and Squatchette.

Are Squatches similar to Gremlins eating after midnight in regard to pizza burgers?

Surely not!

Ole' Squatch and I got along famously after I got him away from those ne'er-do-wells that conked him in the head some time back.

I live in Maine for part of the year, so lobster is plentiful and much cheaper than a good steak. The problem nowadays is FINDING really good steak. When I do, it's 3 times the cost of lobster, so steak is a REAL treat for me.

Steak as you can jump right into it unlike lobster in which you need to work for the meat and hope your butter is still warm
