I like Five Guys, but that’s the only one available near me and that I’ve had multiple times.

What-A-Burger, I had that in Austin, TX, and it was about six years ago, but I think I recall it being pretty decent for fast food. What I really remember is the spicy ketchup, that was good stuff👍

I had In-N-Out in Inglewood, CA, and it even longer ago, maybe ten years now. I’d really like to give these guys a do-over, not just to refresh my memory, but I think I came in to pre-hyped, my expectations were too high. I’d always hear about In-N-Out being so great, and I think I didn’t realize people were saying “it’s so great…relative to McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s.” Burgers are one of my favorite things to eat, so I’m kind of a snob about them, not super, super crazy about it, but kind of like “if I’m going to make the bad nutritional decision of a cheeseburger (I’m over 40, I don’t just shake these things off anymore, lmao), I’m going to spend the extra $10 and get an artisan cheeseburger.” It’s actually a wonder I’ll eat Five Guys, but I find them to be a cut above the standard fast food burger joints. I haven’t eaten McDonald’s since 1997, lmao.

But anyway, point being that I think I was expecting more out of what In-N-Out actually offers, and was of course let down going by that standard. Plus, I brought it back to my hotel so I didn’t get it all-the-way hot. It was alright, but I think I was just expecting more, whereas the other places, I hadn’t heard of them being hyped in such a manner. I actually wasn’t even aware of Five Guys when I first tried it years ago, one just opened in a plaza I went to for another store for my job, and I tried it out, so there was no expectation.

I’d need to try all of them without fries in the equation, too. Five Guys has the best fries of these three, in my opinion, so I’m further tilted to them, haha.

But my non-final rankings, based largely on vague memories, are currently:

1. Five Guys

2. What-A-Burger

3. In-N-Out

The only one on here that's not absolutely garbage is Five Guys! That's the best burger chain and the only correct answer! I'm surprised you didn't put a forth trash burger chain on here with Shake Shack. Trash and overpriced AF.

Though I've never had In-N-Out, to be honest. That's only on the West Coast US. But I hear it's trash. Whataburger is trash though! Like Sonic. If I have to choose a non-major fast food chain besides Five Guys, just Zaxby's. "It's good enough."

Water burger has the best taste in my opinion also in and out has some bland French fries if I recall correctly
