Is it safe to drink alcohol after CT scan?

At about 1 in the morning I got a CT scan with ov contrast. It is now 7:44 and I'm going to a party serving vodka. There's only four of us so the plan is, we're all getting drunk. Is it safe to drink alcohol after being injected with IV contrast?

It says online “If you received IV contrast for your particular test then you need to drink at least 8,500ml of water or juice each day for the following two days and avoid alcohol and caffeine the day of your exam”. So by the sounds of that, no, I don’t think it’s safe to drink alcohol on the same day as you had the scan. If you’re really concerned, call a local healthline that gives you free advice about any questions you may have.
