What Is The Dessert, You’d Enjoy On Your Special Day?

What kind of birthday cakes have you had in the past? Or would want?

@SnowedIn and I had some discussions on birthdays, and the dessert, and that is somewhat the highlight of the party at times right? 😃 Or the highlight “dish”.

I ask the members of GaG:

what have you had? Or want to try? Examples are endless, from:

• Cheesecakes 🍰
• Puddings 🍮
• Pies 🥧
• (I don't know, large macaroons? Lol)
• Cupcakes 🧁
• Muffins
• Cookies 🍪
  
  Pancake stacks 🥞 (or any other breakfast food that can be served to multiple people, or have candles 🎂 atop of it)
• Pizza pies 🍕
• Ice cream cakes 🍨 🍰
• Brownies/ brownie cake 🍫
• (any desert that isn’t in cake form? Sundaes/ shakes)? 🍧

Can be healthy too, like:

Fruit/ Vegetable platters 🍱🍇🍊🍍🍉

I think I've had the same menu for my birthday for as long as I remember.

For lunch, I get skonsur - which essentially are American pancakes, we just pull it to the savory side, not the sweet side. I usually eat mine with tuna or shrimp salad.

Then dinner is pancakes - which are nothing like American pancakes & here it gets pulled to the way sweet side.

If people come over on my birthday - that is what they get and they know it. I don't really celebrate my birthday with parties anymore. I invite the few closest at best & we eat pancakes and drink wine.

But that sounds so smart and refreshingly assuring! People know if they could bring any sides or drinks, if they wanted 👀

But otherwise that’s already a great combination: savory in the morning and richly sweet in the evening. Sounds like one savory-sweet party 😎🥳 🎉 🎈

I'm a very habitual individual - who prefers the comfort routines and my home. People know this and often come to feed the beast - because that is always a welcomed thing. 😅

It was my way to break the "no sweets around dinner" rule as a kid. I never understood why certain things had to be eaten at a certain time and not allowed at another. I still don't.

I"ve only had ice cream cakes on my birthdays since mine is in the summer. I've had the regualr chocolate & vanilla ice cream cake and oreo blizzard ice cream cake. I'm thinking of trying the choco extreme blizzard ice cream cake next birthday. But if I ever had to have an alternative to it someday, it'd be funfetti cake with whippy frosting or brownies & blondies.

This all sounds so YuM! 😋 also same! I’ve had Oreo ice-cream cake for my birthday, when I was a kid. That probably was one of the best cakes ever. Can never go wrong with an Oreo! 🤘😁

I love funfetti/birthday bash food. Some people might not like the birthday bash ice cream though. I would admit the unicorn birthday bash ice cream is better.

Toss up between tiramisu or creme brulee. The deciding factor will probably be whether we're eating out or not. If we're home, tiramisu. If we're out, creme brulee.

They are awesome ice cream cakes and are made for birthday cakes you can find them in the United States of America at a lot of strip shopping malls even Publix supermarket in Florida. They sell them in their store.
