Tonight s dinner. Crispy tofu wraps with homemade teriyaki sauce and sriracha

If the tofu is deep-fried to a golden-brown crisp, 100% yes. I would use my own preferred chilli sauce in the mix! I have second thoughts about using a wrap since we normally eat fried tofu like a side dish, but I'll let it slide since it looks delicious.

Definitely, if it is indeed vegan. If no-one else would eat it, I’d eat it nevertheless if it’s at least vegetarian. I loved tofu before I went vegan and even vegetarian.

Not quite vegan as there is honey in the teriyaki but some vegans do eat honey

I’d eat bee vomit only if no-one would use it, not even bees. Bees are fellow animals, so bee vomit can’t really be called vegan. There’s no such thing as beegan!

It's more the production of honey (when done sustainably) doesn't harm the bees so some are okay with using it.

Bees that produce honey (which we eat) are breed specifically for that purpose (I guess). If people didn't eat their honey they would not exist. On the other hand, bees are good for the environment they live in, aren't they?

Milk is a bit different case as cows are kept in cages and one could argue that they don't quite live a happy life before they are slaughtered. While bees fly happily around, I guess.

@Dana223 there is definitely unsustainable honey harvesting, but typically if you get honey locally from local beekeepers then that is ideal.

@Dana223 bees can live fine without dang human beings stealing their needed honey. A single bee makes a teaspoon of honey in their lifetime. Many dang human beings nosh many lifetimes of bees. Many queen bees get their wings snapped so they can’t leave their Kingdom. Many bees die for the lack of their own food.

Doesn't really matter since it's getting covered, they're for flavour not decoration. Only cut diagonal if they're a garnish.

Yeah definitely doesn't apply for wraps. We were always taught to sauce the meal though, otherwise it looks unfinished. Maybe extra sauce on the side.

The tofu looks hideous without the sauce. They just look like undercooked fish fingers 😂 hence the smothering of sauce. Anyways like I said this is a wrap, 🌯 and it's not a restaurant.

They're pan fried after being pressed and coated in cornflour to give them a good crunch.

It's the only way I like tofu, even if it doesn't look pretty. It's usually going in a wrap, burger or BAO bun so you can't really see it with all the other components. The crunch just makes it so good
