500g beef tenderloin goes into industrial meat injector and 1000g tenderloin comes out. Of course no meat producer will admit they pump water with some stabilizer into meat to increase weight but those injectors are their money print machines.
You can't make a Wellington with meat that loses 50-70% of its volume, no matter how good your cooking skills are.
Problem is 90% of people will buy the plump cheap meat over the expensive proper stuff.
It was quite an interesting case. She has to be one of the dumber murderers in Australian history at least. Like the police weren't going to find she had an interest in foraging mushrooms, that her mobile phone showed she was in two areas where there were warnings of death cap mushrooms, that she was seen disposing of a dehydrator that was later tested positive for traces of death cap mushrooms, that she and her children supposedly ate the same product and showed no signs of illness compared with her other four guests (three of whom died, 1 was in intensive care for weeks). And then she lied about everything making her an entirely unable to defend herself on the stand with any credibility.
They should have prosecuted her for culinary crimes too. That beef wellington looks awful.
Following today's convictions, let's hope she never sees the light of day again.
On the upside, it appears the OP has murdered James the Foodie. Every cloud has a silver lining I guess.
The thing is:
- If she left her phone at home when she foraged
- If she had dehydrated the mushrooms a couple of months earlier and dumped the dehydrator a long way away at that point
- If she had learned to cook so that her guests didn't just eat a polite amount of the beef wellington then there may not have been a survivor to testify against her
- If she hadn't also fed beef wellington to her children, who turned out perfectly healthy
- If she had a lawyer that told her to say 'no comment' in police interview
- If she hadn't chosen to take the stand in her own defence
It still would have been highly suspicious outcomes but entirely circumstantial. She certainly wouldn't have been convicted of murder. Maybe negligent manslaughter.
It was such a dumb, lazy crime.
Perhaps. It’s a bit overdone and is a bit of a mess but you can’t always go by looks. I like that Gordon Ramsay always orders it if he sees it on a menu as it is difficult to make and will give him a gauge of the restaurant.
Ramsay’s recipe :
Beef Wellington you bet your life I would have some of that and those mushrooms would be fantastic. Better than veal, pork or chicken for the pate'.
Beef Wellington is a true masterpiece that I've enjoyed on more than one occasion. The combination of tender beef, earthy organic mushrooms, and flaky pastry brings back memories of the first time I tried it in a cozy little restaurant in London. The chef’s meticulous attention to detail made the dish an unforgettable experience. I'd certainly savor every bite again! 🍽️

As she spent her first night in jail , sentencing soon , can see why the husband shot though , look at the before and after shots of her , couldn't believe it.
So my answer is No.
The shape is somewhat... unconventional.
But out of your hands this will not surprise me.
It's a famous dish - and you're a famous person. What could possibly go wrong.
Yes: please give me some :)
Are they those special mushrooms that make u permanently sleep
Not the beef part, no animal needs sacrificed to provide "taste" to self absorbed bald apes.
Probably not anymore after recent events.
For sure, Ilove the sort of earthy flavor of mushroom, a grilled portabella is very nice
