🍞 Breads - what are your favorites?

For sandwiches, I usually eat French or Italian bread, but I like lots of other kinds like wheat, rye, oat, potato, and pumpernickel.
My preference are soft breads but have a chewy or crunchy crust. Fresh baguette's are really good.
I'm not crazy about sourdough because the bread isn't soft.
Whole grain isn't a favorite, either.
Liam, I don't appreciate you using the term "baguette." The politically correct term is "bagel."
I couldn't resist.
I love many varieties -- a good rye, sourdough, French, a seeded whole wheat, rosemary focaccia, it's all good.
Cracked whole wheat, whole wheat, multigrain bread, strawberry bread, raisin bread, apple cinnamon bread, stollen bread, strawberry banana bread, banana bread, croissants, flaky biscuits, cheddar biscuits, garlic knots, bagels, hawaiian rolls, and whatever else.
When it comes to sliced breads, oftentimes, white sliced bread is my clear choice.
Sometimes, I might pick out cinnamon raisin sliced bread.
When it comes to rolls, pumpernickel it is for me.

Banana bread. Which I now have to make tomorrow.
I also enjoy a sour dough bread - yummi as fuck. I'll have to prepare for that.
@Potteplante When I was a teenager growing up in San Francisco (which is the city notorious for their sour dough breads) we were the "hoodlem" kids. We used to drive in the alley behind one of the bakeries that made the BEST sour dough breads. We would drive in that alley while the breads were on cooling racks and we would drive off with a few. I still remember how wonderful their sour dough bread tasted. Perfect 🥰
@Potteplante
I love banana bread as well. One more bread I love us date bread. I used to bake loaves of it!!!
I love rye and I love pumpernickel. Marble rye is my number 1 favorite!
There is a bakery across the street from where I work that makes the best Italiam bread. I buy some after work and eat a whole loaf on the ride home.

Problem is I'm not very good at describing food tastes, sorry😅, but it is delicious lol. Love putting teawurst and mettwurst on it especially. I have to get it online because most stores here in South Carolina don't sell German stuff.
A freshly baked French baguette is wonderful. Then a loaf of soft white bread. Croissant if we're allowed to include those...
