Do you like ribs with mash potatoes?

I usually remove the membrane from the back of my baby back ribs and brine them, then throughly dry them and apply a dry rub that I make up and refrigerate overnight then cook them low and slow on the BBQ indirect heat at 250° F turning every 1/2 hour for about 2.5 to 3 hours or until the meat pulls back from the bones. They're flavorful, juicy and extremely tender.
i start with the dry rub first and then slow cook them and then towards the end add BBQ and add a little water so the BBQ doesn't burn on the pan, and to keep the ribs moist (theyre covered with tinfoil)
What’s the point of dry rubbing your meat?
And why do you wrap them up in tin foil if you’re cooking them on a pan?
@On_cloud_wine wdym?
@On_cloud_wine to trap the moisture.
And maybe give it a slightly crust?
@On_cloud_wine ribs that happens during the dry rub process. Creates maillard reaction.
Ouu fancy cooking terminology.
@On_cloud_wine it’s actually science. We cooks are somewhat of scientist.
@On_cloud_wine it addsxa lotbof flavor and properly seasons the meat.
My culinary nerd 🥰
Yes, that looks so good, OMG I would eat 2 plates of that for sure.
Thanks for MHO :)
Mash isn't my go to for ribs but I'm sure it's delicious. I prefer a salad since ribs tend to be quite rich.
ofc. if you were American you'd eat mash with ur ribs.
Lucky I'm not 😂 my fav ribs are these pork ones from a local restaurant. They batter and fry them then coat them in a sticky sweet bbq sauce, served on a bed of coleslaw.
dont they braise them first?
I believe they're slow cooked first. I would imagine so as they're super tender
i hope so. I don't know about frying them tho. i like them when they fall off the bone. i wouldn't like crunchy ribs.
It still falls off the bone that's what makes it so amazing, they're crunchy AND tender. I need to get a job there just to get the recipe
Yummy. Have you ever tried tuna fish stuffed baked potato topped with melted cheese?
I’m just going to be honest and not lie to you. But that sounds horrible.
So you combine the mashed potato and tuna fish with mayo and blend it well, then stuff it back into its shell, and add grated cheese on top and finish it in the oven to melt. Ok. It’s a-may-zing
I’ve had double baked potatoes but never with tuna. The only way I would do that is if I was trying to get more protein; because tuna is gross and id be trying to mask the flavor.
Then this would be a great way to overcome your tuna phobia. Literally.. try it! Send a pic and tell me how much you love me
It’s you that loves me. I just tolerate you.
One day you’ll love me
You can’t play the player.
I can so, but the only games I prefer to play is chess, rummy and Super Nintendo
Let’s say hypothetically I did love you. I still would not eat tuna with mash inside of a potato.
SMH I feel like this a Dr Seuss book and you’re trying to feed me green eggs and ham.
Tsk tsk
name an edible recipe and ill make it for you.
Sometimes, in order to make a relationship work, you have to negotiate, compromise and sacrifice a little…
and thats exactly what im doing.
And you have to trust me.
trust you that tuna is good inside of mash potato? lol
Exactly
Nah.

I don't like ribs, but I love mashed potatoes!
why dont u like ribs?
Cause I've just never did. Same can be said for steak.
D:..
Once I'm better I might try salisbury steak, but once again that's not actual steak. lol
better?
I'm healing from reflux still. By the time I see the doctor I should be all better. But my mom might make turkey salisbury steak before that, I'd want the mushrooms though.
oh i know how that feels lol. i also hve to be careful with foods.
Looks delicious. Have you ever thought of writing a cook book?
Yeah I don’t believe you buddy.
You should work as a chef at least.
