I never understood hard tacos. The shells tend to break apart when you eat them. It's a stupid concept.
I love soft tacos, especially with flour tortillas. I like fish tacos. I like tacos with ground beef that has Mexican seasoning. The addition of shredded lettuce and cheese, some pico de gallo, and lots of spicy salsa makes them delicious.
But while you are biting them on one end, stuff does drip out of the other end. They can be kinda a messy if you're not careful.
I really like Mexican food but I don't have tacos all that often. If I'm getting something to go, I almost always get a burrito. At a restaurant, I prefer things I can eat with a fork. An enchilada dinner with rice and refried beans and lots of sauce and melted cheese over the enchiladas. Some tortilla chips and salsa on the side.
Or a "wet" burrito with sauce and cheese melted over the top. One of my favorite fillings is chili colorado. I get extra salsa, too.
I've had a lot of experience with tacos. First and foremost, make sure you order enchiladas with them.
While grasping the enchiladas in both hands, lick the sour cream off the top of the taco. The psychological effect of grabbing the enchiladas will help with the bitter, fishy taste the sour cream can have from sitting on the cooler with beef anus.
Once you've gotten to the cheese part, just make circles with your tongue until you're satisfied that it smells good enough not to give you food poisoning or other disease.
When in doubt, pick up with both hands. Open mouth. Ram food in as far as it will go. Close mouth. Chomp until done. Repeat until plate empty.
Bit messy with soup.
Nope I tend to just order it and try it. I love trying new things, even if it's a little difficult to eat. Also no shame in asking someone how to eat it.

Yes Mexican, is very messy to eat, also burgers are too, in America they tend to enjoy the messiness, it's part of the vibe when you eat such food and unless to can get to a basin, which is hard with a road or mall stall ur hands and face will be all sticky.
Even when I do know how to eat something, if I find an easier way to eat it without getting it on my clothes, I will. Some people eat taco salads, which are literally tacos broken into pieces and put on a plate.
Tacos are hard to eat without them breaking on you anyway, lol
I eat food the best way I know how.
I quit screwing around with fajitas years ago.
I pile the fixings on my plate, then hold a tortilla in one hand, taking occasional bites from it, while shoveling the rest of it into my pie-hole with a fork.
No muss, no fuss.

No. Nobody knows how to eat a taco. But I've found the best way is to put and empty shell below where you're eating to catch all the toppings that fall out of the current taco you're eating. And that will start the filling for your next taco.
It works till you're on your last taco. Still working on how to fix this problem. 😆😆😆

Yeah, it's okay. Mexican food isn't common there, so it's natural that you wouldn't know how to eat/hold one.
Everyone struggles to eat kebabs in Europe, and 80% of Americans, apparently don't know how to hold a cheeseburger correctly.
I've never had a problem figuring out how to eat anything. I eat it anyway I can. If I can't hold it and put it in my mouth I'll use a fork and knife. I don't care what other people think of me when I'm eating. I'll do me

In general I like all foods but there is certain foods that I don't have a care to eat escardo, calamari, pig feet, cow tongue, oysters from the shell. These are just a few that I won't eat but I'm willing to give some things a try

No problem. I find a knife and fork work on most things. I eat tacos frequently (they are delicious) but the often break apart a I try to eat them.
It's going to take some practice. You'll get good at eating tacos though. Mexican tacos... Asian tacos. I like watching chicks eat tacos. 🌮
i'm not sure how you couldn't know how to eat one? it's pretty straight forward. and also i'm pretty sure everyone else is concerned about their own food than yours so even if you did eat it oddly, no one would notice or care.
You pick it up and bite it. I feel like I'm missing something. We're not talking about a 30 piece dinner setting.

I know how to eat a burrito but I haven't eaten a taco in years... so I'm not the one to blame. But we should both learn lol
