I have lived and worked in America and I never trusted the water that came from the municipal supply, especially in the big cities, so I always used a water filter of bottled water when travelling as water from the municipal supply is liable to make you sick even from the simple act of brushing your teeth using water from the municipal supply. You could buy a counter top water filter of the Berkey type or DIY one yourself there are 'how to' videos on Youtube, instead of buying bottled water
I once had a sample of water from a US municipal supply analysed by a UK Water Utility company when I was home on a break, I received a panicked call a couple of days after I submitted the sample wanting to know where the sample was from as it had failed every UK test for potable water, once I had assured them that is was from a US municipal supply, you could hear the relief on the other end of the call as they were seeing very large fines in their future if it had come from their supply.
The only difference is filtering. I have an in-line filtration system on my water at home. Tastes the same as bottled.
In fact most places that claim the water is from a spring or something like that, are just filtered water from a tap.
I would note that fluoridation is not present in the water in my city.

Taste totally different depending on the brand
Depends on what kind of water you like. I like natures water from the ground. So spring water and/or good quality well water is okay by me. I am not into the whole filtered (osmosis, or remineralized) waters as they taste void/fake to me. Besides, when a bottled water company can take water from a river that contains all kinds of contaminants and filter the hell out of it to make it clean again, I draw the line. As far as City water goes, its the same thing and they do even less. Some places obtain their water from a well field, however, most use flocculation, a sand filter and chlorination and take it from a river or lake. It does not compare to good quality natural well or spring water.
Depends on where you live. If you’re residing in countries like Iceland, Norway, Germany etc then tap water is safe to drink. However, there are certain countries (like India) where tap water is not safe for drinking. Well, you CAN drink tap water, but only if you want stomach flu. We use bottled water here and it’s way safer.
Why so many Food&Beverages questions lately?
Anyway, agree..
The extreme vast majority of bottled water is just tap water that is in a bottle.
The only time this is different is when tap water is filthy, such as areas with little or no water treatment. Then, bottled water is just tap water from somewhere else.
They can be but definitely not always. Coke's dasani bottled water is just distilled tap water. Some bottled water companies filter tap water then add minerals and call it mineral water. Some are truly fresh spring water.
definitely not where i live. i remember aquafina got into trouble for that, but filtered water is tap water to start with. we have hard water here, so it's not a good idea to drink it
As a Dutch person with good tap water I must agree... however, when abroad I usually stick to bottles as the tap water is disgusting.
It depends where the water comes from. I live in a town that has very good drinking water. The DPW barn has a spigot that people from surrounding towns can come and fill up their jugs.
No, never tap water is not that good.. Zephyrhills springwater is outstanding good pH levels so is alkaline water 8.8

not in Texas, no sir... lol
Well, both are H2O, the difference is dissolved solids, fluoridation, and any other contaminants.
In some places, yes. In others, not so much. I have a whole home filtration system and my water tastes like regular bottled water
They’re water. But they do taste differently. Even though many bottled water is just tap water. Different tap water and well waters all taste different.
As well as being in the bottle.
No, tap water has calcium carbonate in it, in UK it's a min of 50ppm,,,
Thats what they say. That its just filtered tap water
Of course not
Tap water boosts your immune system and prevents cavities
@AnusNdaPainus
We were given notices that that there is cadmium in my water - which is a cancer causing agent. No thanks!
Only people that are bougie think bottle water taste better. All bottled water is just tap water that's been slightly filtered
in my opinion the biggest difference between the 2 is the price.
No, not even close.
Totally disagree 😔😔
Absolutely not. We can't drink or cook with our water. We've been buying bottled water for years
No. I'd trust tap water more over bottled water.
In a lot of cases and brands, yes.
DISAGREE. Hard disagree. Big disagree, even
Absolutely not. Disagree.
