Almost never.
I would ask "Would you like something to drink?" as opposed to asking "Could I get you a beverage?"
I would never say "I feel like having a beverage."
Then again, the term "food and beverage" is an appropriate title for a category title. It has a nice ring to it. And beverage covers any liquid other than water.
"Food and drink" would sound... unsophisticated.

I like to call a thing what it is. I want breast milk not a Sprite. Cappuccino not coffee. If you're not specific with what you want then the universe may give you a 32oz Cherry Coke when what you really wanted was to suckle on a nice rack
I try to avoid generic words that apply to more than situation unless I'm talking about a social or news issue so I will say 'tea" instead of beverage. I think I'm used to informal words cause most of the conversations I have in real life are informal. My friends are smart but they sound like belly buttons around me, just super chill and flawed.
Beverage in languages is speak is used mostly by people who own restaurants, bars, nightclub... practically people who sell beverage.
I use it rarely

I can't recall the last time I used the word "beverage", most likely it was reading a sign?
I probably use the term about once a month to impress people with my vocabulary. When I was a kid if I saw a word I didn't know I looked it up in the dictionary. Now I'm too lazy
Only when I jokingly declare that I'm going to have "an adult beverage" - i. e. beer, wine, liquor, etc.
Also being in the hospitality & restaurant industry, I use the term "beverage" quite often.
In this part of the country we say drink or refer to all beverages by name or by what type. Usually the only time people say "beverage" is when they are a wholesaler that sells beverages to stores, restaurants, bars, etc.
Although I know the word "beverage", I never use it actually. The first word that comes to my mind is "drinks".
Only when speaking with others and coordinating, who is responsible for bringing entrées, snacks, beverages, cups, and plates and utensils and napkins.
I use the word almost every day in swedish language.
I simply cannot remember the last time I did! 🤔
