Question

According to Budweiser, the American way to eat watermelon is to put half on your knee, even when there's a good table available, and scoop out large spoonfuls. I would personally cut it into small cubes and eat it by stabbing it with a wooden cocktail stick.

Hey my little Pops, as a little lassie from over the pond you may not catch the loaded words and overtones of what is really going on. There is a very racist perception that only poor blacks eat watermelon. For what it's worth I think that is really stupid, but I guess it's got too deep inborn biases to argue with them. Also for such kinds,,,,,, blacks only eat chicken.

Anyway, I love soul food and chicken too. Not much of a fan of watermelon, nothing much to eat in the damn thing. It's better to juice the bastards. However, to give my little dig,,,,,,,, I have always thought that the only true American cultural experience and expression, that is not a european mangled mismash and has originality through and through is the American Black experience, be it the music from, Jazz to Blues or Soul food. There is even a deep literary and philosophical black experience like the Harlem renaissance or liberation Theology and from the Marcus Garvey's to W E B Du Bois. All these have had a profound influence on me and I have been into quiet deeply. Sorry, to take off on you, my little one, I can't help myself,,,,, just like I can't help myself from wanting to just hug my little Pops, till she squeeeeels !!!

People here eat watermelon all kinds of ways. Probably the most common is to quarter it lengthwise and then cut the quarters into inch thick triangles. Cubed with toothpicks is also popular, and so are rings - 1.5-2" thick whole slices, or perhaps just half a slice. Some will eat those big slices with a spoon, and some with a knife and fork.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone eating an entire half by themselves, but if they did, a spoon wouldn't be the worst idea. Few people attempt to eat so much at once...

I like to gut the watermelon.
Put it all in a bowl and get a potato masher mess it up pour all the juice in the container

I'm not sure but I think that's the watermelons like 70% water and watermelon juice LOL whatever that is but it's refreshing and it's good in the summertime when it's ice cold and for some reason the watermelon always tastes better that way yeah I eat it with a spoon but I'd rather drink it

My wife and I cut it into cubes and put them in a bowl. She likes to eat them with her fingers but I prefer a fork. I don't like getting sticky fruit juice on my hands, which obviously makes me more civilized. LOL

I've eaten plenty of watermelon that was cut in wedges or semicircles. But it's kind of a mess.

Bud drinkers use watermelons for dildos. They consume them by sitting on them. As an American. If I get an end piece of a watermelon, I tend to use a spoon and scoop the watermelon out of the bowl. If I get a middle slice, I just tend to eat it with a knife. I cut it into cubes and stab the cubes with the knife and then eat them.

If I’m cutting for multiple people than I’d just cut several slices then cut the melon into pieces into a bowl, but if it’s just for myself and usually a night snack or something I’d grab the left over and a fork with some Mexican spices and enjoy it little by little
