Do you like ICE in your drink? If so what kind of ice do you prefer?

As a rule, no.

But there are times that I prefer it, or if its really hot, I'll do it, to chill a drink that tastes better that way.
But I can't stand how places fill the cups with ice, it's just too much, in every way.
It waters down the drink and it's too cold for me to drink, so therefore ruins the experience

@LovingJo I'm with you about the too-much-ice-in-cup. They do that to keep their cost down by not putting as much drink in the cup. Whenever I order a drink, I ask for "light ice" or "go easy on the ice" and if the drink has too much ice in it , I ask for another.

I love Ice thats 50% of the enjoyment of the drink without that you actually have warm soda that takes the punch out of everything. And when I’m at home, I’m always putting my sodas in the freezer getting them super cold just before they freeze and that’s how I drink my diet Mountain Dew and my Pepsi zero. And I like all my other drinks ice cold as well. Sometimes I like them a little bit frozen to taste the ice out of it.

I use small numbers of ice cubes in my drinks to still keep them cold for my estimated drinking time but diluting them as little as possible.

If I order a drink from a drive-through fast food place, I order it with no ice. Otherwise, they give you a cup of ice with one sip of the purchased drink.

No they just get in the way when you're trying to drink. Plus everyone knows it's just a way for restaurants to serve smaller volumes.

On soda iced tea things like that but of course liquor drinks I can understand about putting too much ice in it because you don’t get free refills On liquor drinks

Depends on the drink. I prefer water at room temp. Iced tea is the only thing I drink with ice. Alcohol is a nonstarter for me because I am allergic to it. I get the ‘Asian Glow’ and my tongue and throat swell.

A&W! The best!! It's OBVIOUSLY a huge seller!! Every time it goes on sale here, it flies off the shelves before I can even get into the store!! There's LOADS of all their other stuff but NEVER any root beer!!

Have you ever had root beer Schnapps? I don't drink but, my brother talked me into trying it once. It's okay, I guess but, he suggested putting a piece of ice in it because, when you do, it tastes just like a root beer float! I tried it, loved it and had a few doubles after that! I stopped drinking the stuff a short while later. I doubt I ever had more than a dozen shots over about a year and a half.

Ice kind of ruins the drink when it melts and gets mixed with the drink
So I prefer to keep the drink (say, a beer LOL) in freezer till it's Ice cold...

Depends on the drink. Fountain soda needs ice, water I prefer no ice. Crushed ice for certain summery boozy drinks, otherwise cubes.

Crushed ice adds to the drink if you consume it in a reasonable amount of time. Otherwise it can dilute it.

At home I always get crushed ice. But everywhere else it is cubes. Sometimes the ice helps with the flavor and other times it can be left out.

The drinks i drink! Water, juice, tea, coffee, soda, beer, wine, tequila, smoked whisky. I never use ice to my drinks.

Only when I’m taking hot tea. The ice would melt soon and my tea would be cooler.

I hate ice in my pop. More ice is more water, so less concentration of the flavour.

In the hot summer months, yes I like ice cubes in my coffee, tea and scotch. It just keeps it colder longer
