Are square plates low class?

Breakfast today consists of leftover chicken curry with rice and chips that I've served on a rectangular plate.

But a lot of people consider square plates to be low class, so what's your opinion?

No... Square plate is just a different style of plate.. it has nothing to do with class. High nor low. Some low class don't even have a plate to eat from..

Well, if they're "low class" that's news to me. Rectangular plates tend to be larger, so you can fit more on them.

No. Paper plates are. The real paper ones that desinergrate when food hits it.

I ate a restaurant a couple of weeks ago that used square plates. They are not low class or any class at all.

Low class are those throwaway plastic plates or paper plates. Paper plates are at least a very good choice for recreation and decomposition.
