Would you try pepper X?

So pepper X is known to be the new worlds hottest pepper reaching a heat level of 2.69 million Scoville units and a spice level of 3.18 million, for the people that aren't aware how how hot 3 million Scoville units is then a good comparison would be that a jalapeño is between 2000 to 8000 Scoville units, a habanero is from 150,000 to 350,000, the previous pepper that was on top before this one is the Carolina reaper known to have a level of 2.2 million Scoville units, pepper X was recently given the title and it was bred by the same person that bred the Carolina reaper, I love spice and I know I'm definitely going to be trying it, i got a tradition but would y'all try it? 🤔

Sure. I'm more interested in its flavor, though. When you get passed the spiciness, ghost pepper always struck me as having a bit of a dirt taste to it. Carolina reaper taste like very old tomato. I enjoy banana peppers flavor, though it is way too mild. But i suspect much of this has to do with the fact that it's really hard to get these peppers fresh. If I could cut up a fresh ghost pepper and cook it with, for example, a burrito, that might taste real good. But I don't know where to get fresh stuff..

Banana peppers is actually my favorite mild pepper, they are always very juicy and the flavor is just the best, even tho jalapeños have a very good flavor too, habaneros are good yoo but ghost and Carolina I always thought it was more of smoky than dirty lol

Um, the Scoville scale measures how diluted (with water) it has to be before it passes the absolute threshold of taste, so I have no idea how "heat" and "spice" would in any way be different. But since the Apollo pepper is already above 2.69 million, it doesn't much matter.

And since 3 million Scoville units is the level of civilian-grade pepper spray, it's basically using a chemical burn as a snack. I'll pass, thanks.
