How was it? What was the best food you've had?
There’s a food truck in Austin, Texas called Flavia’s Kitchen that specializes in authentic Mexican food. I hate that it’s 2,000 miles away, lmao.
Best part is when I went there, probably four years ago now, there was a woman working it, and then a young girl I’d guess to be about 11 or 12. The little girl comes up to take the order, and she was ALL BUSINESS😂 She wasn’t unfriendly as much as she was just a pro, and there wasn’t a single shred of “isn’t this cute? I’m a child taking your food order!” in her approach. Then, after not even that long of a time, she calls me up to get my food, and she looks me in eye and dead seriously, but clearly proudly, goes “sorry it took a minute. We make our corn tortillas from scratch.” Just dropped a huge humble-brag on my head that hit me like a ton of bricks. She only said those few words, but the look in her eyes said “This is about to change your life and flip your universe upside down. Go back to Boston and tell all the other Gringos what you experienced here today.”😂😂😂
Yeah, I saw the big Texas/Oklahoma football game was on a few weeks back and I caught myself wondering how fast I could catch a flight down there to party on 6th Street for a night and hit up Flavia’s truck, but I just couldn’t justify dropping a G on it😂 Definitely looking for an excuse to get down there again though. Love Austin in general, but man, that Mexican food (and their BBQ) really seals the deal👍
As for me I love going to food truck events & a few times a year I go to them. Other times I find my favorite trucks by bars or on the street & it’s lunch time. My development from time to time has a food truck night where a local food truck comes in & all I have to do is walk over to the mailbox area & order.
The truck I like has polish food & I go crazy over it. Little pierogis, cabbage rolls, sandwiches & more. As for me I bring a beach chair, I bring my own silverware, foil, bags & I come prepared to take food with me as well. There is a bacon truck that makes Mac & cheese bacon I love that truck as well.
In several of my business locations, there are several food trucks that I have permitted to park and serve their dishes in designated areas within or around my business premises.
Some food truck vendors can win contracts that I'd award if they're sophisticated & crafty enough to cater to my employees, customers & guests.
As a good example to my employees, customers & guests, I enjoy the delicious dishes I personally buy from the various food trucks and eat them with the food truck owners, cooks, servers, my employees, customers & guests.
In conclusion: I truly enjoy food truck dishes.
BBQ can be popular during closing hours only because they can be sloppy for lunch.
Occasionally. I either find they serve low quality greasy crap and have questionable hygiene. Or the ones aiming to be gourmet trucks are over priced to fleece the tourists and you might as well go to a restaurant and eat the same thing at half the price. This one used to be good but now you need to be a Russian oligarch to afford the lobster roll.
£25 last time I looked.

Well, the truck was actually a young woman with a pushcart going from office to office, but she usually carried the typical tasty assortment of the German bakeries:
Food truck.. let me think.. mostly it will be fish.. i love fish ( not all and some are not even fish but ok ) so if i see a truck with fish i have to go... It is like a magnet.
Or one with oriental food
Never bought a hotdog or other weird things they call food. 😶
Yes, last summer the company I work for sometimes has a food truck come to the parking lot and we get lunch. I had a hot dog and fries once and they got an ice cream truck to come one day and I had a sundae.
Yes, many times. They're very popular here, especially Mexican ones. There was a Mexican one in my town that had really good Carne Asada Burritos and Tacos Al Pastor, but then I had another one in another town that was lousy.
The best I had was in a rural area in Kauai. The guy had BBQ Pull Pork Sandwiches that were to die for.
Living in LA of course I've ordered things from many food trucks. The ones around here are usually Mexican food. Last one i recall was a few tacos.
Yeah I imagine its probably just more cost efficient to run your business from a truck rather than paying the costs associated with running one at an actual restaurant. And the rent here is astronomical lol so it makes sense we get so many food trucks.
And there's also just people setting up grills and tents on sidewalks too instead if using a truck. Probably even more cost efficient that way.
I have gotten food from food trucks. Sometimes it is very good, other times I wasted my money. I think it depends on what restaurant they get the food from.
When I go to the drag racing strip they have a really good gyro food truck. The food is amazing
@inbox yes they do have to follow the same regulations as a regular restaurant. They still have to get yearly inspections by the board of health
All the time. Some of the best home cooking I've ever had was from food trucks, and they're priced right too.
Not really, I like many of them. There's a truck in my neighborhood that makes a pork belly taco, out of this world. I've had great sausages, Thai food, Mexican and seafood stuff too. When I was on the island of Anguilla, I had great BBQ chicken with beans and rice.
yes. i've had food from food trucks plenty of times. just like any food service experience, sometimes it's good, sometimes it's great, sometimes it 'meh, and sometimes not so good
I support food trucks whenever I can. Not one for the big conglomerate type restaurants I like to support the little guy/gal and often the food is way better tasting and way better for you.
All the time! Ice cream, barbecue, grilled cheese, hotdogs, Mexican… Love them!
Some of the best independent fast food restaurants started as food trucks. Thinking about Franklin Barbecue in Austin, one of the best in the country!
Many times. Some good some bad… they are just as food as the restaurant in some cases but I’ve had some scary burritos too!
I can’t think if the best though. Too many experiences
I’m not a big fan of weiners lol
That’s hilarious
Yes many times. Worked as an electrician for years then food trucks at many events. Some are really good
Fusion Axon is pretty good
Simón is my fav
I've had some really good Greek and Barbecue and Mexican food at a variety of food trucks spanning Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado.
I worked in NYC for a while, and getting a hot dig or some halal at a food truck was common for lunch.
Oh, sure. All the time. The ones that have Mexican food are usually the best.
Many times. I've worked at places where that was the most convenient option for lunch.
Some of them are quite good, especially the highly specialized ones.
Many times!
The best falafel sandwich ever!
I've only eaten from a few roach coaches. I can't remember their names. But they were decent.
Yes, I love it especially when I work construction for the man the food truck would come bye it was like a glorified 7-Eleven
Yes, some of the best food I have ever had came from a food truck.
Many times. A few times it was terrible, and sometimes it was totally delicious.
Rice bowls with various toppings
Shawarma too
Absolutely. Not necessarily the best food I've had, but they're often better than many restaurants.
Multiple times and it's mostly just alright.
Yes I bought it fish and chips, doner kebab, ice cream from food truck, but taste is same as local shop..
Good
Usually a truck arrives outside office
Haven't seen in long time
No but I would like to actually. It looks nice.
