Halva is not the name of a dish. Halva only means something that has been created by mashing up ingredients.
In edibles, it is used synonymously with a sweet pastry made from varying ingredients.
What you have in the picture is just one form of a halva end product.
All that and you didn't answer the question *facepalm* π
I have eaten better ones than that white one which is basically milk cooked with sugar for extended period.
I prefer this one below
... Sorry. Forget it. Could not figure out a way to post an image through the mobile website...
This site doesn't allow it unless it's a link, it's dumb but it is whaf it is lol
The taste is pretty nice, but I can't stand the texture 😅
You can't stand biting into a block of sand? π
Fair enough lol
I like halva made of pistachios or sesame seed but I'm full after two small pieces because it's fatty and mostly too sweet.
Even the pistachio and sesame seed ones?
Yes I love it. Itβs common in my country, we usually eat it with tea.
It's good, when I searched up to get this picture I saw there was many different kinds which I've now feeling like I've missed out π
Yes there are many types, even I haven't tried them all
Do you know where it originates from?
Middle East probably
The recipe may be similar but Middle East does nor call it halwa. That is a South Asian word.
