Tough one but fries have the disadvantage of only being good while hot. Chips can still be good at room temperature. So you can eat them whenever

Sometimes fries are ok after they're not hot. As long as they aren't like fridge cold. I personally like fries better due to them being able to be loaded or seasoned certain ways. Potato chips can be, but they just aren't the same, not even if they're the spiralized chips with cheese and bacon you get at the fairgrounds.

Ehh i beg to differ I don’t think I’ve eaten milf or cold fries that tasted good. I agree with that Jim Gaffigan comedian that they taste more like packing peanuts when cold lol.

And in any case yeah fries while hot still taste amazing and you can add a lot to them and they’re still delicious. But once they get cold its all over for me lol

There are so many kinds and flavors of potato chips, what's not to like. There's only so many ways to make French fries.

Trivia: French fries should really be called Belgian fries. US soldiers in World War I noticed Belgian soldiers cutting up and frying potato pieces. It was in the French speaking part of Belgium and the soldiers brought the idea back home to the US, calling them French fries, because that's the language the Belgian soldiers spoke.

I love both and try to stay away from both as they are an unhealthy food option. I will go for sweet potato fries as they are slightly heathier.
