French fries with gravy, but the gravy in it's own bowl so I can dip the fries in the gravy. And the gravy bowl needs to have lots of gravy because almost the whole length of the fry is going to be dipped.

If there are a few mozzarella cheese fries in with the French fries so much better. I'll dip them in gravy, too! Yum yum!

For me it would be French Fries with curry sauce, gravy would be my second choice.
Just mix with boiling water.

That is a picture of poutine, which is gravy and stringy cheese curds on fries, and one of my fave French-Canadian dishes.

The answer is obviously gravy and cheese on fries is superior to one versus the other.

You can have both at same time. Personally I prefer a pot of either gravy or better still curry on the side to dip in.

Neither, both are crap.
You want proper gastro chips, with a layer of fried onions, gravy, chilli sauce, and shredded Red Leicester and mozzarella cheese.
