Do you butter your crackers?

It's that time of year where we all feel the need to slap a bit cheese on a cracker. But I've been arguing with my friends on an important issue, Do you put butter on crackers?

Now I feel butter helps cheese stick to the cracker, no one ones the cheese to slip off. But some of my friends prefer it dry without butter.

So how do you prepare your crackers for your cheese?

I've never used butter on crackers before, but I do use cheese for them during the holidays. I also like jam and pb on them, just not together on the same cracker.

I use bread and Kraft cheese as a quick snack when I’m hungry, but you need high quality Kraft cause the low quality Kraft is 98% identical to plastic in DNA. I only make Kraft cheese sandwiches with Costco Kraft cheese, or something superior to Kraft. I don’t use crackers, they taste good, but I get three times as many crumbs on my table when I use them.

Depends on the cheese

Brie stick as does Stilton so don't need butter, plus the butter leaves slicks on the port

Hard cheese like cheddar and red Leicester need butter to bond to the cracker like wood to brick

My crackers are dry most of the time, though sometimes I do butter them

I don't eat crackers, but if I did, I would butter them for sure. Everything tastes better with a bit of butter :D

No butter. It's just unnecessary calories. I prefer the flavour of the cheese to speak for itself.

I can eat them dry, but they taste better if I put butter. I rarely eat them with cheese.

I can't eat crackers without margarine. Just doesn't take good dry
