What cow looks the most delicious?

I thought this might be fun. The UK has several beef breeds and I've picked four of the most well-known. I don't know about other countries but here when you buy beef or steak it'll often be referred to by it's breed, ( e. g an Angus burger) if it's thought to be a particularly good eating breed.

But forget reputation, forget all the cheffy chat, or even your favourite steak.

What I want to know is which cow looks the most delicious?

Highland cow

Welsh black

Hereford

Aberdeen Angus

I'll take that highland calf.
I matter of taste plays fed type, sex and age much bigger role than breed. Those breed names are just marketing. Young cows feed with hay, grass and high quality silage instead of industrial power food have the baste taste... and of course very young milk fed calves but you have to remove your heart before can eat them.

Yes they are but they're French so I left them out.

Ah ok. Highland are pretty popular in my area too, but I think most local beef comes from Charolais and Hereford.

I don't know if any of them look more delicious. I grew up on a dairy farm and I'm starting on my own hobby farm soon. I always saw cows as cute and funny. Believe me, I know they're delicious and I do eat them but I don't look at them and go mmm that looks delicious

My SO and I had a very nice experience with a Hairy Coo in Scotland a few years back. He was very gentle and came right up to the fence so we could pet him. I wouldn't want to eat such a beautiful creature.

You should know that I'm not that fond of steak, but an Angus Steak... I ken that's the best!

I went with the Highland Cow just purely from the pics. It looks like it'd make an awesome roast. I have no idea why. I just looked at all the pics, then looked at them again, then something drew me to the Highland Cow.

Jersey cows look the best - those big soulful eyes. They're dairy but I think they would taste as delicious as they look.

Guernsey for the milk, South Devon (maybe with a dash of Limosin) for the meat. Organic, and left with their mothers until naturally weaned.
