My fav is type of pasta is linguine. I love the texture of linguine with anything. Could be a mushroom cream sauce, pesto sauce, rose sauce, sundried tomato cream sauce... you name it. Just not a fan of seafood, so I would not have it with shrimp.

I like fettucine, lasagna, tortellini, ravioli, shells, macaroni, and linguine (for me though, it is the cheesy sauce & shrimp). Fettucine I love with alfredo sauce, chicken & broccoli or spinach. I've only had tortellini in soup. I like lasagna as long as it isn't the meaty kind, I absolutely love veggie lasagna. Ravioli must be cheese or mushroom filled for me, no meat. Shells & macaroni is with cheese sauce, velveeta. I've only had linguine with the cheese sauce & shrimp, but I'm not opposed to trying other ones. I used to call it seafood spaghetti.
Fettuccine alfredo with broccoli and sometimes with grilled chicken depending on if i want a heavier meal
Great taste!
I like all pastas, but prefer any of the ones that are like linguini.
I make a killer spaghetti sauce with ground beef, chunks of pork, shredded zucchini, tomato chunks, onions, garlic, lots of seasonings and red wine.
But I also LOVE seafood in creamy, buttery, garlicy, wine sauce. Especially muscles, but also scallops, shrimp, buttery fish like cod and, of course lobster if I can get it.
I make clam sauce at home that's easy to make and really, really good.
We also make Cincinnati Skyline chili that goes on top of linguini.
I like the thinner ones like Spaghetti and especially Capellini and Vermicelli but I enjoy linguine as well. I like anything I can twirl and wrap in a fork and bias towards smoother textures.
Ah you're talking about spaghettini. Yeah I prefer that to spaghetti as well. And I agree with the twirl ๐
Oops sorry, that was a complete goof on my part! I misspelled Spaghettini and auto-correction turned it into "Spaghetti". But yeah, I love the thin types a lot.
Here in Japan, I really like Harusame. It's a very thin type of "cellophane/glass" noodle (typically made from things like potato starch or tapioca):
I've tried those. Not really my cup of tea and probably wouldn't choose them over a linguine or spaghettini, but they can be good depending on the sauce
A lot of the appeal there for me is that they tend to be very calorie-sparse so I might be a bit biased for that reason. Like they have instant harusame cups here (just add hot water) that's only like 50 calories and fairly filling. My favorites are always the ones with very spicy Chinese or Korean-style soups and veggies like green onions.
@LiamS95 For sure! I think I'm biased more towards the tomato-based sauces (or even no sauce and just seasoning) over the ones that are creamy or cheesy. Like I can't think of anything better for Mac & Cheese than Macaroni. My favorite though is more like a very simple Capellini/Angel Hair Pasta with just some seasoning and oil:

Depends what Iโm having it with, but if I was just having meat sauce or Bolognese, I like rigatoni best.
