One of my favorite hasty ones is a chili con carne. Canned tomatoes, canned beans, ground beef, onions (often just sweated), cumin, garlic powder, powdered chili (I like habanero powder for an extra kick but cayenne and others work too), water, season to taste, and cornstarch or potato starch for some added thickness to make it really thick and chunky.
I use fresh versions of a lot of ingredients when I'm less lazy and have more time. But this is one of my ultimate quickies and it's reasonably healthy (no added sugar, mostly lean proteins and fibrous carbs). Can add some cheese (ex: mozzarella) on top, tortilla chips for a treat (not very healthy but they are really good).
I swear if you weren't on the other side of the planet I'd wonder if we were related.
This is very close to what I ended up making, it even has habeneros in it, for anyone reading this, I still want more ideas, I'm up late a lot.
Nice! š¤
I just threw together a late meal. Baked potato, steamed broccoli and tin salmon... wish it was frozen.
Gerald Sandwhich with a side of strawberries and 3 or less cookies. Simple, delicious, quick to make. Itās like a combo from Taco Bell but way better
What is this "gerald sandwich" you speak of?
Itās quite basic as previously stated. Now pay close attention my child. First you take a slice of white bread. You then add a semi-Thicc layer of Mayo on the bread (one side). Then, whip out your meat, whatever kind you prefer, turkey, ham, whatever. Take three slices of said meat, and then place them on the now Mayo-covered bread. Repeat the first two steps, place the new bread with the Mayo facing the inside, then you stuff.
So a tripple decker sandwich š
Why gerald? lol
No triple anything, itās just a basic sandwich. I call it āGeraldā because my best friend used to often put āGeraldā in his online usernames, and my first memories of having said sandwich was during a hangout at his house back in our Elementary days.
Fair enough lol
