Alcohol amplifies whatever you’re already feeling in part by lowering inhibition. So if you are in a good mood when you start drinking, you’ll go into overdrive. If you’re in a bad mood, you could end up in a fist fight or crying yourself to sleep, or worse. I don’t recommend trying to drown your sorrows. Alcohol and drugs are factors in more suicide cases than the powers that be want you to know. Stay sober and find someone to talk to.

I'm a happy drunk. I love everyone and everything. But I almost never get drunk. I only drink alcohol a few times a year and it's usually just a glass or two of good wine with dinner. Sometimes a cocktail. There are quite a few alcoholic beverages that I really enjoy, including gin, rum, tequila, brandy, liqueurs, port, ...

The last time I got drunk was New Years Eve 2019 at a friend's karaoke party.

@dustybiker2. They used to have karaoke parties at their house 3 or 4 times a year until they freaked out over covid in 2020 and quite. There would be maybe a dozen people, counting my wife and myself.

They had a huge selection of songs and you could adjust the machine to whatever key you desired.

I had been lead guitar and vocalist in garage bands since I was a teen. But what I discovered at their house was, I could also sing other genres really well. Who knew that I could kick ass on Bobby Darin, Elvis, some Sinatra and Dean Martin. But I sang all kinds of things there.

Everyone sang, but only a couple of people could sing decently. We had a lot of fun, though, regardless. And I would get lots of requests. A couple of those were "When a Man Loves a Woman" by Percy Sledge, "Mack the Knife" by Bobby Darin, "Secret Agent Man" by Johnny Rivers, "Light My Fire" by the Doors, "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison, "Wild Horses" by the Stones. Lots, lots more.

It was fun to be dramatic and really sell the songs.
Oh, and on Secret Agent Man, the women would jump up, line up behind me, and do Bond girl and Go-Go choreography. LOL

My wife liked to sing duets on a few songs like "Ferry Cross the Mersey" by Gerry and the Pacemakers, "Daydream Believer" by Davy Jones, and "I Got You, Babe" by Sonny and Cher. LOL

And sometimes there would be group singalongs to certain bands like The Beach Boys and the Mamas and the Papas that have harmonies.

I have only been drunk around 5 times in my life. I behaved like I usually do though I was a bit more expressive than my norm.
Only once I fully blacked out but I was with one of my best friends at her place so it was alright.

I don't drink either. I've tasted alcoholic drinks, even alcohol removed wines, yet I don't drink actually. It's like coffee ; or even the soda's - I could easily live off water you know and or milk or fruit juices and water in terms of fluids because the alcohol does nothing for me - I'm fun and playful as I am ❤️😀
