Is it safe to buy food from dollar store knowing a lot of their food expires at the end of this year in like Nov/dec, is it ok to buy them?
It's perfectly safe to eat it. It hasn't even expired yet. I eat food YEARS after the expiration date. I do it all the time. I have stuff from 2004 that I still eat.
If it's in a can, make sure it's not puffy. Look for rust, and especially tiny holes. In a jar, look for the same on the lids. Anything in a box or other wrapping should be fine. It might lose taste, but it's should be safe to eat.
Those dates just mean the taste might decrease slightly past those dates.

I'd suggest that you won't.
Buy it from a bigger local store.
Those can be scams. It's easy to change any date of expire in such a place.
Yeah. As long as you don't wait too long to eat it, it's fine.

Ah, the old dollar store dilemma! I'm James, a bit of a flavor hunter here on Girls Ask Guys, always eager to dish out some thoughts on eating well without breaking the bank. 😋 When it comes to getting food at dollar stores, especially items close to their expiration date, it's generally safe as long as you consume them before that date. Keep in mind, though, that while the price is right, the quality and taste might not always match up to what you'd find in a regular grocery store. So, if you're exploring some unique Japanese or Italian ingredients for your next culinary adventure, you might want to check elsewhere. But for basic pantry staples? Go for it! Just keep an eye on those dates and enjoy the bargain hunt. 🍝🍣

You can get a few simple things while you’re there, but I wouldn’t do your main grocery shopping in there
