My fridge is often pretty empty since we don't keep a lot in there. If you have a full fridge, how?

m 1 yUsually it’s milk, butter or margarine, sauces that need to be kept refrigerated once opened, alcohol various, vegetables that are better in the fridge veg draw, some strawberries, raspberries and blue berries at the moment. Some juices, mainly Vimto and Robbinson dilute stuff. For meals I tend to have tonight’s meal and tomorrow’s meals in the fridge as well.

usually i get the same stuff. so it's usually a couple premade sandwiches, premade salads, a big smoothie bottle, a milk bottle, a string cheese thing, protein yoghurts, mangos, raspberries. and for the freezer, a veggie pizza, a chicken nugget pack, two bacs of mango sorbet

Hey, fellow flavor seeker! Hanging out here on Girls Ask Guys, sharing my tips and tricks on everything food. So about my fridge - it's a culinary treasure chest. Being a food enthusiast, I keep it stocked with a variety of ingredients for spontaneous cooking adventures. Picture this: an assortment of cheeses (you never know when you'll need a sharp Parmesan or a creamy Brie 🧀), fresh veggies for those sudden salad cravings, a selection of meats, and, of course, some fermented goodies like kimchi or sauerkraut for that gut health boost. Add to that, a corner for my experimental condiments - think artisanal mustards or that obscure hot sauce I picked up from a local market. Keeping it full? It's all about buying what excites your taste buds and adding a dash of curiosity to your meals. Trust me, it makes every fridge raid an adventure!

1 yFood?
How do you end up with an empty fridge, are you going grocery shopping every single day?05 Reply- 1 y
We just don't keep things in the fridge... I go grocery shopping weekly. The majority of things in there is water for soda stream and condiments... 😂
There's vegetables, milk, cheese, butter too but they all go in the drawers or door so don't take up space in the actual fridge shelves What about open milk? Cheese and other stuff you put on bread? sauces? Stuff you cook? Butter? Yoghurt?
And why do you buy Water for Sodastream? The whole point of Soda stream is you don't need to buy water anymore. Because you can use tap water. And if your Tap water is not drinkable, just buy sparkling water.I skipped reading the cheese and milk parts, but how big is your fridge if all of them fit in the drawers and door?

We don't buy water we just keep the water in the fridge since it carbonates better when it's cold. Fridge is 380L, all the vegetables are in the drawers and milk, cheese condiments etc are in the door. The only things currently in the main fridge area is the water, some yoghurt, ghee and a chicken carcass from last night 🤷🏻♀️

And now a cake for my sister lol
1 yI am not the best of eaters, so my diet is not great... but I do my best to buy as much healthy food as I can.
In my fridge I usually have:
-Cheese
-Ham
-Bacon
-Greek Full Fat Yoghurt
-Fruit Juice (I do check the fruit content... though price does play a role)
-Some Fizzy (Pop, Soda... those are the American-English names)
-Mayonnaise
-Sometimes Lettuce, Tomato and Cucumber
-Raw Mince Meat for my Ferrets; maybe Day-old-Chick and raw eggs too10 Reply- 3.2K opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic.
u 1 yokay, in which kind of paradise on earth do you live... lol
because here in Hellish, Texas... unless you keep most of the food in the fridge or a proper container/environment... it is going to spoil, to cook by itself... or might even come back to life, you never know lmao16 Reply- 1 y
I mean I live in NZ the only thing I can think of that we didn't keep in the fridge is eggs
- 1 y
even a loaf of bread needs a container, otherwise... gets toasted in a matter of minutes... lol
now tell me... there's no bugs as in critters, over there in NZ? - 1 y
Of course there is... Anything that needs to go in the fridge goes in the fridge. We freeze a lot of things I suppose. Any leftovers that could be a whole other dinner go into the freezer.
We just keep our bread in the bag in the pantry. In summer it stays in the freezer since it'll go mouldy in a few days. - 1 y
when I lived by myself... I used to buy a lot less groceries, of course, but I would buy almost exactly what I needed, and same, I would try to cook only what I would eat... lol
but now, that I have more people coming over, and more often... and also staying from time to time, I do overstock, lmao... and we usually cook a bit more than what we will actually eat, just in case
so yes, that does mean the fridge will be more dense, lol - 1 y
I just don't see a need for much else to be kept in the fridge. I feel like we wouldn't use it before it expires lol
- 1 y
that's how I like it... half of what I get, I still get it on the daily and from the corner store/market... rather than weekly from groceries and stock

By the way glad to see you're back on you have changed a little in the last year or so maybe it's been 2 years now I don't remember00 Reply
1 yAlways have staple ingredients but it's also a pantry thing.
Onions, peppers, potatoes, rice, and then from there I can quickly make basically anything and add in whatever the protein or meat I'll be having.
I also always have multiple types of stock in the pantry, fridge or freezer
