Am I one of just a few people that eats salads from my local grocery store's deli?

Macaroni salad, egg salad, shrimp salad, potato salad, you name it. Yesterday I think I got sick from shrimp salad and people have told me they wouldn't "feed that shit" to their dog! How many of you have no problem getting a deli salad?

Well, what Mr. Walrus and other's thought was a case of food poisoning, turned out to be much more serious. It was my appendix. I'm not looking for sympathy but if a couple of you sexy ladies and dudes can wish me well, I sure would appreciate it. I'll be okay, it didn't actually burst but I am hospitalized and recovering. On the bright side, I'm gonna finish my shrimp salad when I get out!

No, I do that too. I will pick one up that is premade. Never had any issues with freshness or getting sick.

I've never had an issue and I can't be 100% sure the salad made me sick yesterday, it's just that I felt sick shortly after eating it. It's not gonna stop me from buying it in the future.
