I grew up watching him on PBS along with Monty Python. Benny Hill was near the funniest person I've ever seen. His expressions spoke volumes.

The Hill show you recommended was very interesting. I had no idea he began in 1954.

In referencing Paul, he made Australia so inviting. I planned for almost all of 1986 to go. It fell through do to family issues. But who knows, maybe one day.

You are so correct , and did you know the " Shimp on the Barbie adverts " were not only the most successful ever , but he and John Cornell - RIP , basically did it for nothing , John was the brains in it all , he had a bigger picture plan.

Hey , look up " Paul Hogan Show " on Youtube.. see if you like the old stuff..
Just after he worked on the Bridge. He got his start on a talent show , where he appeared purely because he was pissed off with pretentious judges that onone actually knew who they were , so when it was time to be judged ( Paul ) he just didn't appear , left the place blank. But others saw the humour , one being , lifelong friend John " Strop " Cornell , who was the real brains of the entire thing..
Strop married Delvine Delany ( a glamour from the show ) and they remained married till his death , great story actually.
